    Not great by any measure.
It’s so bad it’s good - that is the only explanation for anyone listening to this podcast frequently enough to justify doing so… On an entirely different note, Ma is great on the TK pod!

You and Rufus are my favorites!
However, your latest guest, Mathew Davido is a MASSIVE TOOL lol

Interested in listening to two cringey 50 year-olds talk about going to Wet Republic? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

This pod is a rort maybe?
Been a listener since the beginning. Love the Rufus and Jeff banter. Been some great episodes recently my favorites are shipper and trench. Jeff does a great job of asking questions and allowing guests to speak. Two super #shrap guys and entertaining. Thanks Jeff and Rufus.

    Curiousity
Loved the part in the recent episode about curiousity being a motivational factor. Thought about that a lot today. Learned a lot in general from you guys so far. thanks!

    First Time
First heard Rufus on VSIN with Gill on A NUMBERS GANE. Was a great quest. Heard about the pod and gave it a listen. Great breakdown on the SB. You have a new subscriber. @GoFastTroy

Enjoy listening , a different approach but very interesting. Each week brings new ways to look at things. I find the cerebral angle to betting, refreshing. Jeff I am the 8th listener Johnny

    Unlistenable
Can’t remember the last time they had an interesting episode or I learned anything. Jeff and Rufus clearly have more important things to spend time on and it shows.

    I feel bad for Jeff
I’m conflicted writing this review, because when Rufus is engaged this can be great. It really is rare to find a winning bettor who is willing to go on a podcast, let alone co-host. But Rufus so clearly doesn’t care about this podcast that it’s hard to listen to sometimes. Jeff does a great job of asking probing questions and trying to keep the podcast on track, but when your partners is so checked out, there’s only so much he can do.

    Mediocre
This podcast is fantastic when it doesn’t go off the rails into long philosophical tangents. Jeff and Rufus both are clearly masterminds in their industry. If this podcast was more focused and intentional it would have more followers in my opinion and more loyal listeners.

Interesting people talking about what I like, sports! Seen the movie and read the book. I’m all in!

    Five Stars
I genuinely think Rufus is starting to hit his stride. The more Life EV, the better. I think there’s a huge Venn diagram overlap of “self improvement” and +EV sports bettors. Lean into it, RP. If I’m honest though, it’s really Jeff’s disagreeability that makes it all sing. Happy to be one of the proud seven listeners

    Brilliant and entertaining podcast.

Love the podcast. Truthfully only doing this review because Rufus said leave whatever review we think you deserve! Every single podcast says leave a 5 star, while it may be dumb that always annoyed me. Never left a review for any podcast before but this felt necessary. In my 20s, a recreational bettor trying to learn and figure out as much information from people you both value, and each week is like a little classroom for me to learn. I feel as though both constantly try to help out the regular folk like me. I bought and read the Logic of Sports betting solely from you guys mentioning it. Any other books or good follows / podcasts I would love for you to mention in future shows. Worthy 5 star

    Better than Reginald
To Ballers talking Sports Gambling, even better than Reginald and Chuck Todd on Tony’s show. Awesomeness.
  • KimmyBeery
    Excellent podcast!
    A must listen!

    Good listen
Good show. While Rufus may never be as successful a gambler as Vegas Dave, he has some knowledge to share. Plus it is fun listening to his dad, Jeff, constantly lecture him. 😂

    Amazing Grace
I was once blind, but now I see. These words best exemplify my knowledge before and after I started to listen to this podcast. For many years and thousands of dollars ago, I was lost in the sports betting world. Paying hype shops in Vegas for picks, subscribing to online services and watching the talking heads on television. I thought I was a knowledgeable bettor. Little did I know I was betting in the blind. Then I discovered Jeff on Uncle Tony’s podcast and started to read about Jeff’s statistical approach to all forms of betting. Jeff kept talking about Rufus and I thought it was his dog because Uncle Tony’s dog Jesse is also a barking guest. More research led me to discover Rufus was Rufus Peabody. More reading and work led me to discover Rufus was another savant in the world of statistics and betting. I continued my research and realized I had been betting blind. I was perplexed. The Springsteen lyric “Is a dream a lie if it don’t come true, or is it something worse?” came to fruition. My dream of banging the books was worse than a lie, it was an unmitigated failure. These days of my reformed former self, are spent listening to Bet the Process and literally electronically stalking Jeff and Rufus when they appear as guests on other shows. I am attempting to understand at least 5% of the statistical approaches presented on Bet the Process, because the 1% I have mastered thus far has made betting fun and profitable again. If you relate to my story I encourage you to sample Bet the Process and begin following the show. Unlike 99% of the other hype boys’ betting podcasts, Jeff and Rufus don’t emphasize their picks of the day, week, year or season. They empower and educate you so you can make a professional and logical decision on your own. I am no longer operating in the blind when I make my bets. Jeff and Rufus also educate you on food, invite knowledgeable guests and tell great stories. To summarize, my former betting life is much like how Jim McMahon described leaving Brigham Young University. The best view is through my rear view mirror. La Cheeserie

Just to make Jeff and the dog happy
Here is 5 star to make you happy. Even though neither of you respond to my PMs when I’m in Vegas at the same time as you 🤪🤪

    Lucky.
Jeff is one lucky SOB. I know !!!

    S5E31
Just enjoyed listening to S5E31 of @BetTheProcess where Jeff and Rufus were joined by @robpizzola. And while they found their way into the weeds a bit, this small time recreational sports bettor found it thought provoking and even a bit self-reflecting. Keep up the great work!
  • mani_gill
    Just full of them selves
Jeff and Rufus - instead of focusing on others do you have any original thoughts to share?
  • Listened for a year
    No substance
Listening to this podcast with pen and paper for a full season and nothing of substance was written down. Guys are more ego driven than helpful. In other words, this show is about them and not the listener.

    Made it to the end.
No Twitter but I made it to the end with Rib.

    Listener #8
Just wanted to drop a review after Jeff repeatedly said “all seven of our listeners…” I’ve been an occasional listener to the pod over my (only) 2yrs betting. I was actually searching out pods that did NOT give out picks but explained the industry (and process). While the Tout vs Not-a-Tout vs Selling Information conversation did go around and around, i still learned something- and that’s what I am wanting from a podcast. My view on a tout points at marketing, less than transparent records and huge fees per pick or memberships. Thanks for the content.

    Solid listen, sometimes smart discussions
Good discussions about sports betting and more than just picks. Rufus and Jeff are usually better with a guest now. Early episodes were more focused on teaching/understanding sports betting.

    I am number 15
I love your show, it is very interesting, and fun Margaret Jeff you can not break up podcast because Rufus is working in DFS with Silva! Margaret

Great pod if you like nuance on top of nuance layered in sarcasm given slowly.

    Enjoy the pod but…
The last episode recommendation of TBWC episode 1 was probably the worst recommendation ever. Holy cow that episode was awful.
  • Rufus Ma
    Terrible
Truly and amazing podcast! If your having trouble losing money on gambling this is the he pod cast for you.

    Waste of time
Ehhhh, no actual content to learn from. Just a couple guys breathing into the mic.

    FanDuel Exec Interview
Excellent interview. It would seem the issue of a 'restricted' bettor at FanDuel's newly launched Arizona book is moot for if you win $600 or more they slap you with a 1099. Not an ideal place to get down seriously.
  • ericcraw
    Solid pod w/ potential
I view BTP as kind of like Mike and the Mad Dog of sports betting podcasts with more intellect and analytics. I don't bet and think my 11-yr old could likely go head-to-head with them on golf and football picks, but I do really enjoy the analysis and insights on modeling. BTP's guests on the podcast are also top-notch and help keep the dialogue more focused.

    Hard Listen
Definitely smart guys, but hard to listen to. The last few episodes sound like a long drawn out phone call between the hosts. Not much to learn anymore from listening. Better pods, out there for sure.

Congrats as you must have inspired the family. Frankly I enjoy the show and much of the language is beyond me as I’m old and loved math but it is so long ago that I was learning anything related to progressions, etc. I appreciate the banter, it’s nerdy in a fun way and the haters are just that. Stay the course. Have fun. On occasion dumb it down for those other h to ban the elite 7 claimed listeners and you’ll just add to your following. And I love no commercials!
  • Johan Edin
    This is a reasonable podcast
    Per Jeff’s instructions.
  • Ryan2179
Rufus refuses every give even a smidge of advice to listeners
Its almost unbearable at times, he gets so awkward when Jeff asks him to tell the listeners anything about strategy or who he thinks is going to win. It’s super cringey and its okay to help your listeners out every once in a while.
  • uncle scat
    Jeff’s opinion of Simon Hunter
Spot on opinion, I also have been thinking the same thing for over a year. Which brings me to my next point - Chad Millman must have the worst character judgment of all time. Blackjack fletcher to Simon Hunter
  • Cabbage1018
    Tried, but boring
Enjoy Jeff on TK pod, but Rufus is like listening to Charlie Brown. Wah-wah-wah
  • Speechless48
    Nerds vs. Nerds
Nerds trying to impress each other with their minutiae. Probably undigestable even to Nerds. Just horrid.
  • Lol The worst
    Please let Rufus talk
Find yourself someone that loves u as much as Jeff loves himself, unfortunately the show is unbearable. Rufus please do a show by yourself , I would also like for Jeff to do a show where he is the expert ( running a business , Blackjack , Living yourself , whatever )
  • ForeLord4
Jeff Ma bad jokes and Interuptions
Jeff Ma brings absolutely nothing to the show. Right when rufus or a guest is in the middle of making a legitimate point(its rare that rufus does) he interrupts with absolutely HORRENDOUS jokes. Seth Burn owns Jeff. These guys think they bring value to the betting space when in fact they are no better than RJ Bell, the action network or the idiot sports talk radio caller. The show is a NET NEGATIVE to sports betting. Maybe one day the my can turn it around.(DOUBTFUL) Just when you think Jeff & Rufus jokes can’t get any worse, they somehow do get worse every week
  • Double it twice
    Absorb Information
These guys do a great job of providing useful betting information that a bettor can use (or not use) if they like. It’s easy to be fed useless information when looking to place bets. This pod doesn’t do that and clearly states the angles they seek when placing +ev bets. I enjoy the hosts and all the guests they have on. Well worth a listen if you’re seeking information before placing a bet or looking to improve upon the bets you’re placing.
  • bkfogdog
    Annoying
Constantly hammering pick sellers . What you guys don’t get is that people who pay for picks are hopeless . Life is going to keep beating them down and they can’t be helped . More info and less opinions about the obvious would make show better
