This podcast rules so hard. The show has evolved and flowed so well over my last few years enjoying it. Greg, Mike, Vargas, BK, & Kaitlyn all give unique perspectives into collecting and reading comics. They’re a group of folks who have and understanding but aren’t gatekeepers. They just share with pure joy. So welcoming, so fun, so stupid, the best.

Since they’ve been back on a regular schedule, this really has become my go-to comics podcast of late. Humorous, concise, insightful, and irreverent. All packed into a comfy 60+/- minutes

This is THE podcast that got me listening to podcasts. They have 4 hosts that all have extensive knowledge about whatever they are talking about, and when they don’t they admit it! They are funny and informative, keeping me up to date on what new first issues I shouldn’t be missing. My favorite part is how positive they are. Even when a comic isn’t the best, they find great things to say a out the publisher or creators anyway. What a change up, to be entertained, learn, and not have a negative time doing it. Wow!

As someone who is a massive comic nerd but has limited time to read everything, it’s so helpful to have a group of fellow nerds break down what first issues are worth picking up. This is one of the best comic book podcasts. The hosts have great chemistry. They're genuinley funny and play off of eachother really well. I love hearing their takes on comics and that they describe to you exactly what happened in the book. Most comic podcasts are pretty vague about the actual contents of the books they read. Sometimes I'll read a comic and be like, "What the f did I just read?" and think I'm an idiot cause I don't understand something. Then I'll hear them say they were confused by the same thing and feel little less dumb, which is appreciated. I also really dig when they go off topic and have discussions about other things. For example in the last episode they talked about Marvel Comics #1 selling for a million dollars which segued into Michael talking about discovering his uncle's comic book gold mine. Each episode flies by. At times I wish they was longer and covered more topics. I understand they wanna keep it simple which has been working for them. It's streamlined and consistently good. Nothing wrong with that. I just think it'd be dope if maybe once a month they did an extra long episode where they discuss comic news and other comics they've been reading. I find myself agreeing with them often and I'm curious as to what other comics they're currently following and what their favorite series and storyarcs from the past are.

Easily my favorite podcast. I look forward to it every week. Very funny, informative, and entertaining!

I honestly have never purchased a first issue comic but should start! The four of them are hilarious and their laugh is contagious! You won’t be disappointed in learning more about the comic world.

Easily the best comic podcast around. Talking first issues lets casual (or non) readers join in, but the deep knowledge drops give hardcore readers something too. And who doesn’t love spontaneous freestyles?!? TREADMILL WARNING: listening while on a treadmill could result in falls due to laughter (speaking from experience).

These dudes are great! I just stumbled on this pod and I’m a club member!! I like the topics of the show. The weird and wacky news is FUN. I especially like the banter and chemistry. The passion for comics is contagious. This is a must subscribe for any comic fan and a fun listen even if you’re not into comics!!! Also great audio production.

These people have great chemistry and are able to make comics accessible whether you know your stuff, or nothing. They’ve sold me on more than a few books I wouldn’t have picked up, and I regret nothing. Entertaining to boot.

I stumbled upon this podcast while I was searching new things to listen to. The dynamic cast and in-depth reviews inspired me enough to walk into a comic shop FOR THE FIRST TIME! As a woman, having a female voice is VERY important to me, and Club Member Kaitlyn is a breath of fresh air in a mostly male dominated medium. Keep up the great work.

I started reading comics 6 months ago and started listening to First Issue Club for recs. Super accessible and funny af! love listening each week even if I don’t have time to go to the comic shop. SUPER RECOMMEND! 🤘🏽

This podcast is amazing. I usually don’t listen to podcasts but as someone who wants to get into comics but feels that I missed that boat a long time ago, this podcast makes me feel included and in on the secret! It’s just too fun.

I wrote first issue club to ask them to tone it down because their podcast is too dang good. Now I have no choice but to give them five stars. Hope you like stars!?!?!?

I'll tell you what son, this podcast is my lifeblood. I'm not a rater of podcasts, but they told me enough to rate them - so here I am, and damned if it isn't a great comic podcast. Not your average comic cast that's for sure!

Even if you don’t collect or own comics this podcast is great to listen to. A panel discussion and critique of mostly first issue of a comic book but also talk film and any other pop culture reference. Never taking itself serious this podcast is overloaded with wit, humor, and charm. Give it a listen

I am the last person that should love this podcast – a 50 something suburban dweller who’s never really gotten into sci-fi or fantasy. However, the hosts of this podcast are knowledgeable and passionate about their subject, they have a great chemistry and incredibly engaging, witty banter. Because of their guidance and suggestions, I have begun finding some of the content digitally… And I even worked up the courage to go into a comic book store and buy some first issues myself. Highly recommend and look forward to this podcast every week that it drops.

I loved that you didn’t linger too long an a single book or topic. Certainly not by amateurs, the audio is engineered well and not much filler speak. Now I want to pick up new comics. I am eager to see where this podcast goes.
