Each morning I start my workday with this podcast. It keeps me in the know of what is going on in Annapolis and AA County from news to weather to events. I’ve recommended listening to all my local friends and family as well as family that has left the area but want to stay in touch with local happenings. (Iron Rooster)

I pop on the Daily News Brief every morning and listen while I make my coffee. Being an Annapolis transplant I find this quick update on local happenings a great way to learn more about my adopted hometown. John’s style feels like he’s sharing stories over coffee with a friend, The News Brief is quick, concise, informative and I think George’s weather forecasts are as good as any around. I listen every day. It’s a great recap of daily news including very local weather and advertising.

Every morning starts with the DNB. I get caught up on the local news and weather. Need more opinion pieces though, sometimes I agree, sometimes I do not but at least it can provide a different viewpoint ( Iron Rooster)

Every weekday morning I listen in the car on the way to drop my son off at daycare. He is now in the routine to expect the DNB each morning when we get in the car (he’s almost 4)! I enjoy my local news as an audio news source just as much as reading it. Have you considered doing a “mental minute” once a week? Maybe an opportunity to have a physician or therapist share tips on good mental health plus how to recognize challenges among loved ones. With the last year, I think mental health awareness has become very significant (in addition to physical health.) (Iron Rooster)

Thank you for the daily news brief; it has frequently helped me with unique, important information, like how to track your mail-in ballot, how to apply for Rotary Club grants, etc. I like the special, in depth interviews pushed on the weekends, and the special segments, like maker’s minute, dedicated to specific weekdays. Maybe you could dedicate a day to the music scene, and invite local talent to submit a song, along with where they’ll be playing next? (Iron Rooster)

I pull news from many different sources - often looking out for local news about my home turf of Annapolis and A.A. County and ultimately, I always end up listening to Eye On Annapolis. It provides just the kind of information I’m looking for on local news and events, which you can’t find elsewhere - and it’s done with a bit of flare and humor at just the right level (kind of like Annapolis itself). Love the app and all the information you provide. Especially love the new drop time of 6 am. I think the music between segments is a good idea but not a fan of what you have picked. Makes it sound like a TV game show.

I like that they include the weather, and the rants are pretty funny (and on point!) when John offers them up. I like that the podcast is short and to the point with news. LSH

Radio consolidation has decimated local news. John has filled that need nimbly and expertly. This guy has his finger on the pulse of Annapolis. If it’s happening in Annapolis you’ll hear about it here first. LSH

I’d been listening to the Maryland Crabs podcast when I found out about this one. It’s how I start every day now. LSH

I'm glad I found this local news resource. Daily news updates give information about what's going on and details on local news that fits into the larger national scene. My only real complaint is the heavy AM talk radio feel that the intro and ad reads give to the show. It's not radio, but it feels like it's trying really hard to be. Intros and bumpers with a little less "big voice" might go a long way to tone things down and add some polish.

The first thing I do when I get up is check my Twitter news list, which is great for national news, but I don't have the time/am too lazy to dig online for my local news. The Eye on Annapolis Daily Brief is awesome because in ten minutes, I have all the top local news, sports, and weather stories and if it's a big story that is mentioned, I can go right to the Eye on Annapolis website for more. It's a damned good podcast. And I'm not just saying that because he's my podcast parner on The Maryland Crabs...because, believe me, if I have any opportunity to call him out publically, I leap at it. Unfortunately, the Daily Brief is too well done to allow me to do that.

Perfect if you want a quick (10 minute) listen on your way to lunch to catch up on all the LOCAL stuff. Also, periodic updates from Navy football, etc.
