    The Best
In my opinion, John is the best. He’s an ex-coach, film studier, optimistic 49er fan. Zero click baits. He calls it as he sees it. I look forward to each new podcast.

    Excellent Therapy
I have been listening to your podcast for the last several seasons John. I absolutely love your show. With all the heartbreak we’ve had the last, you have totally helped me through it. Our last Super Bowl loss was on my 49th birthday. I was depressed for weeks, but I still listened to you. You keep it real. You are spot on with how Jed York is screwing the team and all of us right now. Please keep doing what you do. I love it, plus you’ve helped me to simply learn more about football. Keep it up sir!

    Listen every week
I love this pod. I listen to at least one episode a week, but often multiple a week. I love that John is a fan of the 49ers and is often on the same page as the other fans. One of the things I appreciate most is that he is not saying things for clickbait— he backs up all his opinion with facts from the games and stats.

    Best Niners podcast out there
I have been listening to Jon for a couple of years now, and he is definitely the best overall 49ers podcast out there. He has great energy, commitment, great football knowledge, respect for the game and ability to express his opinions in a way that is simultaneously positive, upbeat (really appreciated), and anchored and expertise based on clear and relevant experience as a player and coach, and realistic facts which I appreciate as a longtime player and coach (and teacher) myself. One of his greatest assets though, also appears as (to me) his greatest flaw. In his genuine, humble and admirable attempt to build community and connections, he indulges idiots more than he should. Whether it is the super chat, comments, or other loyal YouTube followers, four out of five of the comments he reads on air are just absolutely stupid, but he kindly and respectfully talks through them in a way that is a complete waste of time for anyone who knows anything about the 49ers and football already. The same goes for his show with Wayne. Wayne seems like a nice guy, but his takes are alternately completely basic or completely biased, and therefore dilutes the show to the point that listening is a waste of my time. Jon is at his best by himself, when he can talk about film, use his well done research, etc..

    Passion and knowledge.
John has the most knowledge of any football podcaster. I love to listen to him for football lingo. He makes it easy to understand. I like listening to him after losses and wins. Therapy for the losses and gratification for the wins. I need to move on to the draft to see what the Niners can do to win the SB. Please provide that content.

    49ers Rush Podcast
John love your work, but I wish you would’ve challenge the clown take from Joe DeLeon, who stated “Brock Purdy is a high level back up and his ceiling is the NFC championship game” Brock came in from the get & proved he was a better QB than Garoppolo starting in the Miami game forward. The kid finished the year with the highest QB rating in the NFL & average 33.5 points per game in the regular season, which is top in the league. Brock is more than capable of steering the 49ERS offense all the way to a Super Bowl championship…. I think he’s going to pick up where he left off last year without missing a beat.

    Best 49ers Podcast Available!
If you are looking for educated and insightful 49ers content, there is no better podcast than the 49ers Rush Podcast. John is the perfect combination of knowledge, positivity, and inclusivity. He makes a strong effort to create a more educated football community and has become a role model and leader amongst the 49ers community and what it means to truly be a part of the “Faithful”. He wants his listeners to not just love watching the 49ers, but to truly understand the game at a level that used to only be accessible by those that played or coached the game. While I have been a 49ers fan since the 2011 season, it was only since I started listening to 49ers Rush during the 2019 Super Bowl run that I truly felt connected to the team and the players and as a proud Minnesota 49ers fan, I have always been amazed at how well John brings every fan together with his podcast and his Rush Roadtrip. If you want positive, real, factual and in-depth 49ers content, the 49ers Rush Podcast is the best podcast out there and it really isn’t even close.

    Class of his own
You know what I have loved most about this pod? Positivity and honesty. Two things that don’t go hand in hand for MANY 49ers podcasts. John is positive for the most part but is critical when it’s necessary. He’s not negative for the sake of negativity. He’s not a ‘hot take’ artist that has become to prevalent in the current podcast landscape. His knowledge is obvious and welcomed. Great show, I listen to every episode. Thanks for the great content!

Brand new to Podcasts, but I’m sure glad I found this one! Enjoying the breakdowns that John provides, and the energy he puts into improving and expanding the listeners’ experience. If you’re a 49ers fan, this is a must subscribe! John has created a phenomenal community where we can share our love for the team, learn about the game, and keep positivity. (Legitimate criticism is welcome but not negativity for negativity sake). If you love the pod, definitely support the Patreon.

49ers Rush Podcast & John Chapman both *Rock!*
I listen to many 49ers Podcasts, and 49ers Rush Podcast hosted by John Chapman is my favorite - and the most informative! John analyses a huge amount of all 22 game film every week and shares insights gleaned from that in several podcast weekly (in addition to posting his detailed film breakdowns on Patreon (49ers Rush on Patreon, which I’m a member of too). Give this podcast a listen - I think you’ll quickly grow to love it and John’s insights! (Thanks for all that you’re doing John!!)

    Best Niners show by far
John is fantastic and produces content multiple days a week. And what’s become rare in 49erLand, John’s always talking about positive stuff that fans want to hear instead of bogging down on complaints and nit picking. A+ analysis

    Since the Catch
I listen to several 49er pods. John's is the best for me. I am a felow teacher as well and a football coach in Missouri. My story began in 1981 as a 11 year old. Before that I was a casual fan. I remember watching some of the last two Steelers superbowls vs the Cowboys and Rams. I wanted to be like Lynn Swann and fly around the field in pick-up games. But that changed late in the 1981 season and the Steelers were in decline. I caught the end of the 49ers vs. Bengals regular season game that was hyped as the game of the week. The Niners won and I made note because my older brother was a abnoxious Cowboys fan and I needed a new team to root for to try and beat dem Cowboys. Sure enough both teams meet in the NFC championship a few weeks later. My brother kept puching me in the arm the whole game and doing his "Butch Johnson" pistol shooting with his fingers. Then came the "Catch". I vividly remember my brother rolling around on the floor in agony while I looked down grinning. I never looked back. 39 years and 5 Superbowls later I still consider the 49ers one of my strongest passions. It was tough losing to my home state Chiefs back in February but I will always fly my Niner gear proudly as the jeers and put downs slowly fade away. I still hate the Cowboys and my brother has bounced around many teams since but I owe it all to them to helping me become part of the Faithful.

    Faithful From Birth
My becoming a faithful is exactly my tag. In my family you are born a niner fan there is no other way. Once during a losing streak my Grandma missed a Sunday where we won and my dad did not let her come over the rest of the season due to superstition. I saved my review for this week because my wife was raised a Seahawks fan (boo) but she new part of being married to me she was to change her ways. As soon as we were engaged my parents got her a matching Willis jersey to go with mine. Later we had two boys one sporting a Bowman Jersey and the other a Garoppolo Jersey. The tradition continues and the faithful runs through our blood. And I guarantee you when they grow up and get married their spouses will be getting some 49er gear from me and they will know to be in this family you are to be Faithful!

    Faithful Forever
John is a great host and brings the faithful everything you need to know about the 49ers, and grinds it out everyday. Best place to get 49ers news and knowledge. My Story: Still a kid, but will be a lifelong fan thanks to Donte Hitner against the Saints. And Alex Smith’s run against the Saints. And Vernon Davis’ catch against the saints. My dad has been a fan since he was a kid as well, and went to the Catch game as well as two Super Bowls. That Patrick Willis and that defense was electrifying, as well as Davis and Gore offensively. Those three players changed my life. Been here 14 years, don’t Olán to leave. Love the podcast John

    Faithful
Been a loyal listener since stumbling across this podcast and finding John was also yelling at #27 through the tv. My first memory as a Niners fan goes back to 1998 when Garrison Hearst busted that crazy overtime run against the Jets. I am from the Bay Area and my parents are fans, but the player that really got me hooked on the Niners was Merton Hanks. I did his “chicken dance” so many times during a flag football game that I hurt my neck and missed the next day of school. Fast forward to when I’m at college as a freshman walk on and was presented with a limited jersey selection after making the team. Without hesitation I request Merton’s #36, as well as #39 if I didn’t get my first choice. While the times have mostly been tough throughout the course of my life as a Niners fan, I couldn’t be more excited that the current squad has fun characters like my boy, Merton!

    Born to be Faithful
Hands down best 49ers pod out there. John’s dedication to The Faithful cannot be matched and it shows in every episode. Game play breakdowns, interview analysis, roster evaluations, draft coverage - this podcast has it all. Subscribe now and don’t look back. Born to be Faithful: Being a member of The Faithful is my birth right. I was born into a rabid 49ers household in the San Francisco Bay Area during the Montana/Young/Rice era and boy... those were some awesome times! Every Sunday my grandparents would make food + drinks and the whole family would come over like a holiday event. Lots of loud cheering and a ton of even louder swearing when things didn’t go well.. luckily, it was mostly cheering in those days. 😜 My grandpa would take me to games, signings, and basically anything team related. I was hooked and those are some of my fondest childhood memories. Every high and low from there was just par for the course, because when you love something - you stick with it. Since then, I’ve done my best to carry my fandom well while living in the Los Angeles area with my wife and you better believe I’m passing the tradition down to my kids... go Niners!

    Joining the faithful
My dad was my best friend growing up and we were very competitive towards each other. Example: it took me 5 years before I finally won a game of chess against him. When I was 8 he took advantage of our competitive relationship and said lets bet on this football game. Game had already started and the niners were losing. He let me pick my team so I took the niners instead of his jets. I won and that started a weekly tradition of watching, betting, winning and losing every Sunday. My dad is done now but I still pick the games and win more then I lose. Can't explain how much that Montana to Rice connection brought me and my dad closer then ever could have imagined. Thanks for letting me share my story and letting my memories live on. Love the pod and even recently joined patron. Thanks for all u do and u have a life long listener Sir John.

    Why i am a 49ers fan
My brother tried to brainwash me till I was 8 years old to like the broncos and he succeeded until the Christmas of 1993 when my aunt gave me a 49ers beach towel for no reason at all... I think she was confused on which team I liked at the time and all of a sudden I fell in love with the red and gold colors and I have been a fan ever since! Still to this day my brother hates when I bring up the beach towel haha

    John really puts in TIME!!!
This is the best 49ers podcast, bar none!!! He really puts in a ton of extra time and energy to break down film which in turn, gives you an added dimension of understanding to the rhyme and reason of what you see on the field! Thanks John!!!

    One of my favorite podcasts
This is easily one of my favorite podcasts and I feel John is such a good person. He sounds so optimistic and knowledgeable. How I became a niners fan. Growing up first generation immigrant in an small immigrant city the NFL wasn’t a huge part of my life. One day in fourth grade, a math teacher gave her students a task of asking people who was going to win a football game, then they were going to chart that information. Everybody was saying 49ers, so I went with the flow. That Sunday we went to an uncles home and I watched my first football game, Super Bowl XIX. How could you not be a fan after that?

    Born into a faithful household
My parents were from NY but lived in Fresno and married in Tiburon. My older brother, the family jock, was 2 years old glued to the tv when sports came on. By the time I was born, I was growing up with his trading cards, sports paraphernalia, videogames, and going to his football games. My brother played nose tackle, eventually moving to linebacker til he suffered a major knee injury in a bad practice. Terrible coaches ruined his aspirations to play professionally someday. I was years behind him and played tight end and moved on to qb. There are just so many stories of how football and Niners influenced my early childhood. In our household, we grew up in Lake Tahoe, where everyone was either a 49ers fan or a Raiders fan, except for the one guy who was a Chargers fan. We were 49ers fans and Notre Dame fans. I actually would have ended up going to ND if not for the tuition costs. As Notre Dame fans, my dad introduced me to Montana, his super bowls, and the Chicken Soup Game. What did it for me was the excitement of a passing offense. I grew up watching Steve Young, playing the 49ers in Madden and Blitz playing with Young, Hearst, Rice, etc. As I got older, my appreciation of the game matured. A deep ball is still exciting, but I also got into a lot of tactics and strategy games. That's when I could really start appreciating football: the schemes, the gameplanning, types of coverages, pre-snap motion, etc. etc.I was absolutely ecstatic at the announcement to hire Kyle Shanahan, to Hell with all the doubters after the Falcons sb and all the doubters now. In the 90s and now the Niners just feel like a different team. They're exciting, they always touted strong offensive stars, offensive minded coaches. They established the West Coast Offense in 80s, they had a record sb performance with Mike Shanahan as oc, and now they are doing it again with another innovative offensive minded head coach.

My Go-To For 49ers News and Hype!
I never paid attention to football until I wound up in Atlanta for college during the Falcons 2016 run. My roommate was a HUGE football fan and had the TV buzzing every Sunday night. When Jimmy G joined the 49ers at the end of the next season I hopped on the 49ers Bandwagon, though having grown up right next to Santa Clara, it made complete sense for me. The game that changed everything was the overtime upset of the Seahawks in 2018 - I NEEDED someone to follow along with to celebrate the victories, knocking rivals out of the playoffs, and the talent that I knew we had. Found the 49ers Rush Podcast at just the perfect time - watching every episode religiously through the 9ers Super Bowl run. I've learned SOOOO much in the past year and have gained a much larger appreciation for the game. John knows what he's talking about. I'm almost as excited to see him talk every episode as I am to watch the niners. ALMOST. Stay strong, faithful!

    49ers 4life
Hey my name is Josh & I’ve been a fan for 33 years. I was born, raised, & still live in NY. As a child I barely knew anything about football, or any sport really. One day in school we were doing a times table test, after the test a girl in front of me yelled out I can remember 7x7 because it’s my favorite football team the 49ers. So of course I said that’s my favorite team too. That night I asked my dad who are the 49ers? My dad barely ever spoke to me back then, he was a very calm, non excitable person. Well his eyes just lit up & he said the greatest team maybe wver, joe Montana, Jerry Rice, John Taylor, roger Craig, Ronnie Lott, & on & on. I’ve never seen my dad that excited to this day. And I’ve been a 49ers fan ever since. Thanks for reading this novel, great job on the podcast, you keep talking & I’ll keep listening

    Best Niners Podcast
I’ve been a Niners Fan for as long as I can remember. I spent some time raising kids and caught a playoff game and saw my all time favorite Niner run down and make a tackle despite the fact that the game was essentially over. I was hooked again. Looking for and going thought many podcasts, I found that Chapman is the most knowledgeable and easily the best Niner Podcast. Definitely check this podcast out if you are a fan!
