    Happy Birthday Bob!
What a great podcast, wish it kept going! I’ve been reading Bob Ryan since I was 6, my dad was a big celtics guy, and I wanted to be like him, I learned all about my local teams, and always felt at home reading your columns Bob. You ever hear a song and develop a picture in your minds eye of the singer? Only to realize they look nothing like you imagined? I did something similar with Bob, I heard his voice as I read, and the only time this ever happened in my whole life, his voice matched what I imagined! Wish I could shake your hand and thank you in person Bob, you have been a part of my life for over 40 years, I feel like I know you! Happy Birthday my friend, great career, hope it goes another 75 years. ♥️

    A privilege to listen to
This podcast is packed with incomparable knowledge and fascinating guests. If you love Boston Sports, you'll love tapping into Bob Ryan's insights, the precision of his recall of stats and facts - and his unique historical perspective. Bob's relationships with his guests make you feel like you're listening into a lunch conversation between friends from the next booth. His appreciation for the joy in sports and arc of sports history is infectious. You'll enjoy these episodes.

    Listen to ME!
If you are a Boston sports fan, you ABSOLUTELY cannot miss this podcast, you owe it to yourself! This show is so special. EVEN the episodes where I don’t particularly recognize the guest turn out to be great. Every show is like sitting in on a great barroom conversation between individuals who know all the ins and outs of Boston sports. The HISTORY, the stories, the laughs! I’m so thankful to Bob for doing this. Each time a new one comes out I’m relieved that he’s still doing it! Thanks so much Mr. Ryan, you’re truly a Boston legend.

    Heinsohn interview
The Heinsohn interview is a hoot. The only interview I’ve ever heard where the host is as fun and loveable as the guest.

    Relevance would help
The Red Sox are in the World Series and you're talking to Tommy Heinsohn. I have been an enthusiastic reader of yours in the Globe since the ‘70s, Bob, and I do understand (and sympathize) that your first love is hoops, but I wish you could emerge from your insular inside basketball mindset and go back to discussing current Beantown sports, as you did recently on your don’t-miss show, Boston Globe 10.0.

    Tommy rocks
Awesome stuff with Heinsohn. He’s seen it all. Loved those 70’s Celts

    You Should Subscribe
If you're a New England sports fan, there's NO REASON you shouldn't listen to this. If you're a sports fan in general, there's STILL no reason why you shouldn't listen to this. GREAT guests, and some of the best guests are NOT the athletes.

Even though he’s not from Boston...
When Bob Ryan interviews a subject, he has a knack of making that person feel like they’re in their home. They warm up to him quickly and it makes for a terrific interview every time. Thank you Bob for all of your efforts.

    Great Show
Having lived in Boston for 15years, I find this show deeply fascinating. Having already heard Bob Lobel and Upton Bell, I would beg Bob Ryan to “dig” up Guy Manila and interview him.

For years I looked forward every Sunday to reading Bob’s Boston Globe Notes, following him on The Sports Reporters, and now I’m so happy to be able to listen to his podcasts. Bob is the best.

    Non-Bostonian Fan
I grew up elsewhere and know Bob from ESPN, and I'm a big fan of the "Boston Podcast." Basically, Bob interviews smart friends of his and they swap stories and observations. Bob is an insightful interviewer who is always encyclopedically prepared. My favorite episodes include Charlie Pierce, Peter Gammons, and Larry Lucchino. Even if I've never heard of the local Boston legend of the week, I'll listen because of Bob's invariably good ear for a story and the fun of listening decades of friendship renewed again.

    On air
I've loved Bob Ryan for decades and I'm extremely pleased he has this venture as a means of spendig time with him and his long lost of friends and peers. I really like the fact he talks to intelligent well spoken people from the world of Boston Sports which I have been a fan of for 50 years. My only suggestion would be for the sound levels to be more consistent. Bob's audio level tends to range from barely audible to quite loud and it mostly involves his emphasis and inflection. I know he gets excited and often times that excitement tranlates into this burst in the audio level but I will be more than happy to put up with that very minor annoyance to keep these pods dropping. I htink you could consider bring the sports reporter format to a podcast. Maybe you and two others even done remotely via a good land line phone connection. Please I miss that show terribly.

    Terrific
These interviews are really enjoyable. I particularly liked the episode with Globe reporter Kevin Cullen.

    So entertaining!
Bob reaches well beyond the sports world to craft conversations that give each guest an opportunity to shine. Bob's knowledge, show prep and general curiousity make each podcast very special, so much so I look forward to Fridays for the new drop. Well done Bob Ryan, a homerun!

Perfect podcast for any Boston sports fan!

    MacMullan episode
This pod was terrible. All she did was promote her own work and name drop and name drop and name drop. And bob let her do it. Didn't make it through 15 minutes.

    Bob is Great!
I don't live in Boston and I'm not a fan of any Boston team, but Ryan is great. To hear him reminisce about his early days in Boston is very entertaining. I still can't understand why he doesn't consider a 9 over an 8 as an upset.

    Simply the best!
The quintessential American sportswriter. Good luck, Bob Ryan!

    Keep It Up! Great show
I grew up reading Bob Ryan and watching Sports Final, so episode one was a trip down memory lane. The Bird episode was informative, and I didn't think I could hear a new story about him. This is such a welcome Podcast, please keep it up, Bob. For a Bostonian in his mid-30's this is what l've been waiting for. Thank you!
