Breaking Trail

16

Breaking Trail.Every other week, Lisa Gerber talks to people who are working to make the world more habitable, more humane, and more loving. In the words of author and environmentalist David Orr, they are the “peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of every kind” that this world needs so desperately. Through their stories, we cover themes of hope, courage, and action. This is a show for people who want to contribute to the world rather than take from it. We are living life on our own terms, defining our own version of success. We are breaking trail. Interested in being a guest? Great beta
Like it use it. Brian Harder of Brian.skimolife is predictably great. Host is very good at taking a tough topic and bring it to life. Seems like she does a great job of making high end gear advice accessible.

    Great first gear show
Lisa's first gear show, on alpine touring ski gear was excellent. Her guest was from Exum guides, one of the preeminent outfits in north america and he really knew his stuff. I liked that despite the fact that he was WAY into the subject, he was able to inform on the full range of skill levels, including mine as someone that is just looking to buy some gear. Thanks for the new source of knowledge Lisa!

    Inspiring, informative, intellectual!
Lisa is an excellent storyteller, clear and concise. She speaks to the everyman, you find a piece of yourself in her description, you even realize you're nodding along with her.... Finding a balance between 'beta busy' and creative becomes a new goal! Thank you for this thought provoking podcast, great job! I'd love to hear you speak to living life 'thick and rich' as we grow older and hopefully wiser.

    "Discipline, accomplishment, creativity…”
Lisa is articulate, funny, friendly and sounds like someone I would like to know. If this first podcast is an indication of what’s to come, I’m signing up! She talks in-depth about outdoor gear, and also about the philosophies of work/life balance. Substance, folks!

    More Gear Show Pleaaaase
When Lisa asks "why do I do this to myself?" upon beginning an intense trail run... and then describes the exhiliration of the journey that reminds her why, it's easy to see you do not have to be a gear head to fall in love with her podcast. Seriously can't wait for more Gear Show.
