Sean42AZThe Books Are Little, But The Show Is BigDigestCast proves the axiom that “Good things come in small packages.” In this wonderful walk down memory lane, Rob and his amazing friends revisit the small but mighty digests released by DC and Marvel, which collect beloved stories from the past. Rob’s love of the format shines through and will inspire you to hit EBay for some little love....Wait....don’t do that....I mean, yes, go to EBay for digests, but not for love...or, you know what? I’m not judging...you do you. But be sure to also tune into DigestCast! —Sean Ross

Slangword, a comics fanLittle pages, Large funAnother Fire and Water podcast, another must-listen! The opposite of the Treasury Editions (See TreasuryCast) but somehow, the same in bringing us stories we bronze-age kids otherwise might have missed. A fun look back at those3 little gems, and, by sheer force of will, Rob and Shagg managed to adjust the universe so that new superhero digests are being made!

J-bone1Small Comics. Big fun.Rob & Shag once again bring their trademark fun, welcoming personalities to the world of the most portable of print comics: the digest. As a lover of digests (especially Archie & G.I. Joe...which I think will never me covered on this show...its only drawback) I find this show to be entertaining & informative - which is what I’ve come to expect from the Fire & Water brand, in general. You know what might make a cool digest? Hamilton vs Burr: A Werewolf Tale. Not that I’m biased. But it is available on Amazon Kindle. For just $4. DIGEST CAST!

Master VillainLike regular comics that you’re holding farther away!Anyone who remembers riding to the 7-11 on their bike to go get their comics in the 70’s or 80's should subscribe to this podcast (and the whole Fire and Water network while they’re at it!) These little digests packed quite a punch — a hundred pages of comics for a buck! This was an irresistible deal, and I gobbled them up every month, for many years, no matter which characters were featured. There weren’t a lot of reprints around back then, so this was pretty much the only game in town for reading older comics if you didn’t have access to a comics shop. As with his Treasuries podcast, Rob Kelly understands that it’s not just the content of the stories that we love, but also the physical, tangible form that we first saw them in. The magic of these little digests is that they can contain so much nostalgic joy within their small pages. Another home run for the Fire & Water network!

Chuck ColettaGreat comics in small packages!Digestcast celebrates one of the best formats that reprinted comics during the 1970s and 1980s. Host Rob Kelly and an eclectic roster of guests are both entertaining and informative. Well worth your time!

Al GerdingPublic Pronouncement!!!This popular pair of podcasting princes promoted this program awhile ago and I could not wait to partake. The pocket-sized publications that DC had produced in the past have always been a passion of mine. The pilot episode is perfect because it peeks at the premier posse of powerful protagonists of the Golden Age- The Justice Society of America!!! Pleasurable performance by the podcasting party! Valkyries are a prepossessing sight!
