I listened to this podcast when I started my adoption journey and it provided so many different view points. I was so appreciative of the stories and it made me feel like I was seen and had folks like me as an adoptive mom

This is one of my favorite podcasts! My husband and I have struggled with multiple miscarriages and now infertility. We have been thinking about adoption and foster care and this podcast has helped me learn so much. I am so grateful for this podcast and all the hard work put in to it. I love how this podcast honors all parts of the triad so well! I’ve learned so much about adoption through listening over the past few years. I also really appreciate how the hosts are both honest about adoption. They share hard but necessary things, and facilitate much needed conversations. I hope they come back from their hiatus and make new episodes soon!

Our family has had adoption in our hearts as an option for many years, before any kids were in the picture, it’s an option we’ve been open to, but have not gone forth on pursuing more. In 2016 we walked the path of infant loss of our son Logan and I just kept feeling “I’m a mama without a baby, and somewhere there’s another baby who just needs a mama to love them too” I have no idea what randomly prompted me to search for “adoption” in podcasts. We haven’t talked about it for a while, but put in our vision for this year to pray about it more. The first podcast I picked to listen to was “the empty car seat, and infertility” in the 1st minute the boys name was Logan who was adopted and they talked about the journey from the hospital home with the empty car seat. I cried remembering that feeling on our own journey and knew God was placing this story here to be heard. Thank you so much for all of these stories and sharing this passion. Anyone praying about, considering or supporting someone through an adoption journey needs to hear these stories. Thank you for this podcast. Sara (Logan’s mama!)

I would recommend and have recommended to so many people. It’s unbiased, people stories and tips in the many different perspectives and phases of adoption. I wish there were more podcasts just like this one!

When I found this podcast, I went back and started from the beginning and BINGED all the way through it. I listened to all of them and finished it in months. April’s voice is one of my favorites in all of the podcast or audio book world and the material is priceless. I started listening just as my wife and I started on the adoption journey, and having the hosts talk about what we can expect and strategies for the future has been a great help.

Thank you for creating a place for so many different people to share their stories! When I was pregnant, I always read all the books and wanting to hear lots of birth stories to help me feel prepared. This is a way for me to help feel prepared in my journey, even though I know it won’t be the same, it helps to bear the stories. Referrals for international adoption many times take years and this is helping me pass some of the hard waiting days.

April and her incredible guests shine the brightest of lights on the beautiful and challenging journey to adoption. Engaging, inspiring, and informative are just a few of the words I’d use to describe the time you’ll spend with them. This a very well produced podcast and is sensitive to all perspectives under the adoption and foster care umbrella. Thanks for great programming, April!

This podcast is truly fascinating- it’s about adoption but it’s really about life in general and it has really taught me a lot! I also want to say that April and everyone involved in the podcast I think are very brave for discussing things like trans people, abortion and addiction without judgement. At this point, in the USA I think there is so much disparity between non Christians and Christians. And this podcast having ties to Christianity and showing what it’s truly supposed to look like- love, empathy, open mindedness- I think is such a great way to bring people together.

As an adoptive mom and HUGE cheerleader of adoption, I love April and all her guests talk about ALL the different sides of adoption. I have never heard a bad podcast here, they are all great!

We are a family who has not been impacted by adoption but both my husband and I feel called to adopt. I discovered this podcast last year and have eagerly listened to every episode. The stories are very moving and inspiring and at times heart breaking. April is also really articulate and relates well to guests of all different backgrounds and never comes across judgmental. I find that having a good host really makes or breaks a podcast for me. Keep it up!

I found this podcast when we started our adoption journey. I can’t stress how wonderful of a resource it is. It helped prepare my heart and mind for the roller coaster ride we would most likely be facing (and did face). I gained a much broader perspective of birth moms and I believe ADOPTION NOW is a big reason I have such a close relationship with our birth mom. It gave us resources on agencies, grants, “snowflake” adoption, international and domestic adoptions. What I love the most is hearing interviews with birth moms and adoptees. You can never learn too much about what has worked and not worked for others. As an adoptive parent it is my life’s mission to do right by our son and his birth mom to the best of my abilities. Educating myself is the only way I can achieve this. I recommend this podcast to literally EVERYONE, especially if adoption is a consideration for their future. April is perfect as a host. The sound quality is always great. I had listened to other adoption podcasts as well when we started the adoption process and quality and content in my opinion do not compare to ADOPTION NOW.

I absolutely love this podcast and have learned so much from it! I started listening when we were first considering/starting our process and now we are about to be “active”/waiting with our agency. I love hearing stories of adoption from all sides of the triad and learning from the stories of others. I have been so moved and touched by many of the stories. This podcast has helped us through/kept us excited throughout our home study process!

Great variety of domestic & international adoption & foster care life stories!

The way in which the host talks about race completely rubs me the wrong way. As if becoming a biracial family is so completely taboo. They hammer this point in so many episodes.

We have just started our home study process for our domestic adoption, and I have devoured this podcast this week! I have cried, learned, and shared so much from this podcast! I love April's honesty in sharing stories from the entire adoption triad. Thank you for doing what you do!
