This is the Goldilocks of Star Wars podcasts. Some are too hot, some are too cold, but this one is juuuuuust right. Josh and Gabe have cultivated a space (no pun intended) where you can be free to freak out about any and all of the Star Wars that you love, right alongside them. When it can be so easy to be negative, these guys keep the conversation meaningful yet fun, deep yet humble. Each episode is meaningfully produced and it’s clear their goal is to share the joy they have for Star Wars (and Jar Jar and Snoke, specifically). If you’re looking for a good Star Wars podcast, look no further.

If you’re a person who still feels like a kid every time you watch the prequels…this is the podcast for you! They break down everything Star Wars but listen to it enough and you’ll recognize some extra excitement when prequel topics are discussed. Quite possibly my favorite podcast. I’m not even that big of a Star Wars fan, but with the glut of new Star Wars content, it’s nice to have a North star filled with humor, kindness & knowledge. This show is also so perfect for kids. It’s goofy and weird in all the ways that they would love. Jason and Gabe have most certainly cracked Star Wars open for my kid in a way that I never expected. Their Skeleton Crew reviews have become must listens in our house.

The Blast Points duo are the best. This was the first Star Wars podcast I followed and years later, they keep bringing the good stuff. I love their freak outs over all the fun details found in the Star Wars universe. And when a series or movie is running they help illuminate the highs and lows in a way that any true fan would appreciate. And the best part- they love both the new and the old and everything in between. They bring solid points along with the hilarity and fun, but are NEVER whiny, NEVER toxic.

Blast Points is top shelf ! Don’t get it twisted there is a lot of Star Wars podcasts. This one brings info, knowledge, humor and a different angle that you will not find anywhere else !!!!!!! 100% 💣 👍

The podcast hosts are not SERIOUS Star Wars fans! They can’t get through at least one episode without snort laughing. If you are into muppets, analyzing George Lucas’ hairstyles throughout the decades, or talking about “jiggly men” on desert skiffs, then this show is for you.

I don’t understand what anyone is complaining about…. It’s great to find like minded people who don’t fancy themselves “critics”. Anyone who doesn’t like the sequels, shows, or whatever are completely welcome to write their own sci fi series, nothing is stopping them, but apparently complaining about things is easier. This podcast is for the super fans who love all that is goofy, absurd, and yes sexy about Star Wars. Recently they’ve been discussing the Acolyte and Phantom Menace. The show is two buddies with hilarious back and forth discuss all things Star Wars and occasionally, joyfully, Indiana JONES. Very well produced a blast to listen to. These guys include their own wonderful musical compositions, quality sound effects, audio clips to really make this show feel unique. They’ve got some nice relationships with other people in the Star Wars podcast community, which generates some fun crossover episodes. They cover unique offbeat topics with vigor rigor and passion for detail. These guys like to keep it positive and family friendly. Always a great listen.

I found this podcast while searching for info about the voice of Han Solo in the 1983 audio adventure, Rebel Mission to Ord Mantell. The episode I heard didn't answer that question, but it was fun and full of so much other info! I had the vinyl as a kid, and it was great to revisit it. I'm blind, so the record was like watching the movies, but better, because I didn't have to guess about what was hapening on-screen (now we have versions with extra audio to describe the action). As for Han, my money is on David Esch, who definitely voiced Indiana Jones in one Buena Vista read-along (The Last Crusade) and I guess voiced Han in a couple games. Anyway, I'm looking forward to more episodes. Thanks guys!

Gabe and Jason bring so much joy to anything and everything Star Wars that I never miss an episode. Love the show.

I listen to about a dozen Star Wars podcasts, and while they all tread the same awesome ground, BP goes into wild, often hilarious corners of the galaxy far, far away. Jason and Gabe are passionate about everything from Life Day to obscure merch to even more obscure background aliens. They cover it all with an infectious giggle that makes this an immediate listen with every new episode. Blast Points is awesome!

I’m a relatively new listener, but fell in love with the podcast immediately. These guys are a fun and informative respite from the pervasive toxic fandom. They are quirky and original. They have episodes that are very in depth, but don’t make you feel like a dummy, or that you’re not enough of a Star Wars fan to get it. They have fantastic guests and contributors, and their episodes go from sound and visual effects to QVC and Snoketoberfest! If you like any aspect of Star Wars chances are they have an episode for you! Give them a listen, you won’t be disappointed!

The writers’ strike hasn’t changed one thing: my love of Blast Points podcast. And while I know Jason and Gabe are eager to discuss Ahsoka, I for one PREFER the oddball topics they have been discussing lately. Why discuss Hera and Sabine when one could be discussing Starcade? Who needs Morgan Elsbeth when we have Dorothee? And I just KNOW there is some more Panaka content out there waiting to be discovered! So while I hope the studio execs pay their actors and writers what they deserve, please keep Blast Points weird when it happens!

By the time you listen to a few episodes you’ll feel like you’ve been friends with these guys forever. You’ll end up thinking oh, remember that time we drove to Ann Arbor and talked to Gus Lopez and Tom Spina about prop collecting? No, Jason and Gabe don’t remember that. They recorded the podcast with proper equipment, presumably not in a car. But you’ll feel like you remember it because of the show’s vibe. Tremendously informative yet never afraid to embrace the silliness of Star Wars.

I love this podcast. Jason and Gabe choose obscure sounding topics but provide great information. I didn’t think they could fill so much time discussing QVC Star Wars specials, but the whole episode was fun. Thanks guys for doing this podcast. My only request is that you bring in more behind the scenes people (concept artists and such) for interviews.

My commute is pretty boring. It’s 40 minutes, one way, when there’s no traffic, but recently it’s close to 100 minutes to get to work in the morning. The drive has gotten so much better though when I started listening to Blast Points. Jason & Gabe are like those guys that you want to have over to play a board game and drink some beers with. They’re silly, enthusiastic & don’t take themselves seriously. They absolutely love Star Wars and they’re positivity about the fandom is infectious. While they do episodes about the latest film or TV episode, the podcast episodes that really shine are the ones about some niche pocket of Star Wars. When they nerd out about a QVC episode from the 90s, a read-a-long storybook that’s 30 years old, or the bizarre George Lucas Japanese live stage show from the 80s, that’s the best stuff! They also LOVE to talk about the sounds from a galaxy far, far away, which is kinda my jam. Listening to Blast Points is like hanging out with your best pals who are hilarious. Thanks Jason & Gabe. I’ve been listening to Blast Points for a bit now and oh man, it’s such a joy when a new episode comes out. Most episodes give me strong sleep over vibes - filled with laughter and silly jokes! Thanks for the great episodes and the positivity! It’s so wonderful to listen to a podcast that is full of joy and love for all things Star Wars.

Blast Points is without a doubt the best Star Wars podcast there is. They mix really informative information that you will get nowhere else with humor and silliness for the absolute perfect mix. They remind me every week why I love Star Wars so much. Plus as a fellow Michigander (Ann Arbor represent!) how can I not support them?

In a world where people seem to always complain about Star Wars, it’s refreshing to hear fans who actually love all things Star Wars (and Indiana Jones) and talk positively about it. Jason and Gabe aren’t afraid to show their love for Star Wars, even less popular takes like their love of the prequels! I just hope they finally land that John Knoll interview and live to share it with us!

In a fandom that can be endlessly toxic, Jason and Gabe are a consistent source of joy. They understand that Star Wars at its core is so many things: goofy, operatic, action packed and dramatic. They also know so much about this franchise without being snobby. I especially love their Mando recaps!

I’ve been listening to this show for years now and I’m ashamed and embarrassing that it’s taken me this long to write a review as Blast Points, the hosts Jason, Gabe and every episode, segment and guest is steeped in the love of all things Star Wars. No negativity. No toxicity and no gatekeeping. I love Star Wars and I love Blast Points podcast.

For years I would always try to get my friends and family to watch The Phantom Menace with me. Almost everyone who did would get bored or weirded out and I could never understand how someone could watch that movie and not be completely enthralled! I just wanted to find people who appreciated the weirdness and beauty of Star Wars as much as I did. Enter: Blast Points - Jason and Gabe. These guys are tremendous. They truly have a love and passion for Star Wars and this show is something truly unique in a world full of so many Star Wars podcasts. Their enthusiasm is infectious and their insight is profound. I can sleep peacefully knowing that I am not the only person on the planet who loves the Prequels (and the Book of Boba Fett)!!

These two guys right here, they are lovable, deranged Star Wars maniacs. They shove Star Wars... all Star Wars right down your throat like sweet sweet candy. SURE, maybe you don’t like all of the types of candy, but Jaxon and Kabe do it with such love and honesty that you end up enjoying even the Good and plenty’s and the Circus peanuts of the Star Wars universe. So let go and enjoy them lulling you into a sugary sweet Star Wars coma.

Star Wars fandom can get a little wonky and at worst toxic. These guys couldn’t be further from that nonsense. Deep knowledge and perspective, appreciating all aspects of the saga. A pleasure to listen to.

The thing I love most about Blast Points is that in one episode, I can be cracking up about the most ridiculous things Jason and Gabe are going off about, and then near tears when they get deep. I seriously love the beautiful themes they bring up about Star Wars. I have also learned more about George Lucas’s hair than I ever even wondered about!

These guys are quite good - episodes are fun and thoughtful without getting lost in silliness or graduate level film studies analysis. Come for the podcast, stay for the obscure Star Wars sounds they scatter throughout each episode … from old commercial audio to interview snipits to some dude singing the Star Wars theme in Italian (?).
