joecatsavone of the very bestDr. Rosenberg is simply one of the best at his craft. Intelligent, incredibly well informed, balanced, thought provoking, and insightful. He approaches issues with the mind of an exceptional social psychologist and a researcher who puts great thought into many issues of significance. He is the prototype of my favorite undergraduate and graduate professors.

GregZeroPoor audio qualityLove Milt, but the audio quality of this podcast is dreadful. Hopefully the recently implemented pay model will inspire the producer to increase the audio bit-rate.

Salient JutA GemFor decades my mind was exercised and strengthened listening to Milt's late night radio radio show from Chicago. Looking back, I realize that more than all my formal education it taught me how to think. And more than all my indulgence with mainstream media it taught me what was worth thinking about. May Milt's foray into podcasting live long and prosper. His cultural contribution to American media has been one the gems of the last 100 years.

Ds1321Just plain smartI have listened to Dr. Rosenberg on the radio for 20 years. There was no more intelligent radio host in America. His shows are consistently interesting, thought provoking, and educational.

asnagleGlad he's backI always loved Milt's show on WGN and was really sad he was cancelled. The variety of topics and interesting guests are great.

Mike WolffGet Your Milt Degree!Listening to Milt is an education on a wide variety of topics. Truly entertaining and stimulating topics and conversation. I'm incredibly glad he's back in this format - his former station (I won't give them a plug by naming them) made an incredibly bad decision getting rid of him. Turi Ryder is BRUTAL - what a joke that this is Milt's replacement.

HuckFinnsterBest Interviewer By FarFor those who aren't familiar with him, Milt Rosenberg hosted a radio talk show on WGN in Chicago for nearly 40 years, and during that time, it was the best show on radio without question. A consummate Renaissance man, Rosenberg retired from the University of Chicago as a professor of sociology, and his intellectual curiosity casts a wide net that encompasses literature, cosmology, history, jazz, religion, literature, and politics--to name just a few topics. Not only smart, he's also a natural-born raconteur who keeps the conversational ball rolling in a thoroughly engaging way (he's sort of an intellectual Johnny Carson in this regard). As someone who leans slightly leftward politically, I disagree with Rosenberg's solidly conservative stance on political issues (he has a lot of disdain toward Obama, for instance). But despite our political differences, I keep coming back for more for one simple reason: Milt's shows are a continual source of lively conversations well-seasoned with wit and with intellectual depth so lacking in the media as a whole.

Lamp blackNo PCI have been listening to Milt long enough to notice the increasing contrast between the news media and his interviews. Milt's guests are truth seekers, academics, and journalists unencumbered by PC. The news media is blather of momentary sensationalism.
