Sanchia WA True Crime FavoriteInteresting and educational. Amanda Knox interview is next level.

podconsumer789No nuanceThere is little nuance on this podcast and a lot of judgment. Especially with cases involving domestic abuse/intimate partner violence. Frequently, the language used by guests isn’t thoughtful or inclusive; it’s a huge oversight when it comes to persons involved in the criminal justice field where race plays a huge part. For example, a recent guest (Jan 5) described someone “converting to Muslim.” No. You convert to Islam, thereby becoming a Muslim. Simple things like that make me question someone’s expertise. In sum, the podcast doesn’t add anything new to the true crime genre.

Joy pinkAlways worth a listen!Amazing interviews!!!

MT_LifeThe worstStarted with a land acknowledgment and rapidly went downhill. Worst 15 minutes in a long time

candiedislandPlease give warningsI love this podcast but PLEASE give trigger warnings for animal abuse and death :(
-
DittyknittyWanted to like itI gave it a shot, listened to 15 or so episodes and after hearing about Luke and then trying to find his case covered by another podcast so I can get a good comprehensive look into the case, I decided your podcast is unnecessary without providing the link to the case. Your podcast is basically Talking Dateline, but the difference is they actually cover the case before they start talking about it with the people involved. Sorry but, one star.

BHDLKSeason 4 Episode 30Aussie living in the USA here. This guest who is apparently someone who “knows the most” about this topic was incredibly bias. Disappointing 😑

Nanci60Do Your Research! Errors abound!Rebecca Zahau and Shacknai were not married. She was not Max’s stepmother. She was not a dental assistant she worked in Optometry. I lost interest within the first 10 minutes with so many errors in the content.

Karen ContiWonderful pod. Learned a lot.Keep up the great work. Karen Conti

topher&iferA FavoriteLove the way this is told. This podcast is my go to because it’s good!
-
RapMon3Kathleen FolbiggShe’s guilty and everyone knows it. One infant death is tragic, two is suspicious, three and four are murder, plain and simple. Disgusting that you’re giving this coverage

JUtah31Too much woke politicsDon’t waste your time. Very tedious

AJB1953Awesome showI love the podcast and the host she does a great job telling the stories

shamrock'smomWell done!Great research. Love the interviews. This is hands down one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to and I listen to many.
-
hazelbnrVariety crime topics 👍From the USA, I appreciate English speaking podcasts from other countries with different incidents and their take on those originating from the States. History, historical references abound. Excellent interviews by host. TY.

NatheyWilliamsThe BEST True Crime PodcastThis show is truly the best true crime podcast I’ve heard (and I listen to most of the popular ones!). I really like that the host is speaking to people who have a connection to the case, and not just doing “research” on a search engine- this gives the podcast a lot more credibility. The host also makes a concerted effort to recognize those affected by the crimes and not glorify the perpetrator— another thing that I find, disturbingly, all too often in other podcasts. This is a really well-done true crime podcast that reports true crime stories accurately and with compassion.

Carlaaaa77Technical difficulties are terribleI found this podcast when searching for shows on the Philip Island mystery/Vivienne Cameron disappearance. At the beginning of the episode the host apologized for the technical difficulties. The technical difficulties were so bad I missed half the story. I get it, technology can have glitches but no attempt to fill in what was missed was made. The episodes seem interesting when browsing titles, but I won’t listen for fear of more terrible technical difficulties.

DaveC304All landsEvery stitch of land on this earth likely once belonged to someone other than those who are currently living there. Why not acknowledge the native people who killed the previous owners and took it from them?

WatchathinkAll time favoriteI listen to numerous True Crime podcasts. So much so, that I gave up Netflix and Hulu as my tv break options. I’ve binged this podcast for the last 3/4 days. Interviews and interviewees are excellent. Love the format. Keep up the great work. A USA fan!!!

TuckerBupDunblane MassacreThis conversation is a bit off topic. He says American this and that but he gives large overstated comments. Yes I too hate our obsession with guns however I don’t carry one, my friends and family don’t. He hardly talks about the event he’s supposed to be talking about until you(Jesse) corral him to be specific. And he goes back to hating Americans again. He really hates us. What about your supposed topic?? By the way-I love Jesse Stephens, it is her subject I have the problem with.

tgygunyfuhyfSadChristopher Barry-Dee is an absolute moron, of the highest order. His assessments of serial killers, mass killers, other countries and everyone and everything thing else he mentioned, could not be more in accurate. And all of that is based on? Experience? Doesn’t sound like it. He couldn’t manage to stay on topic. His tangents on everything he believes he knows everything we’re far more important. Sounds oddly as if he’s pushing a political agenda. Are you? I, for one, am exceedingly glad I don’t live in any country he lives in. Just the kind of empty blowhard spouting in accurate information that’s gets far too much attention. I’m incredibly surprised that this was listened to, edited, and still put out. I have looked forward to every episode. Up to this episode, the interviewing was terrific, the questions/discussions were informative and intelligent. You guys missed this one by a mile!

JLHSAFLoved this podcast …….. till todayI listened to part 1 of the Belle Gibson story today. As usual, it was very informative and well presented. Then at the end of the episode, it was announced that parts 2 & 3 are only available to those who pay for the podcast. Highly disappointing! Like so many, I can barely afford to put food on the table, I can’t send donations to podcasters. To post this episode in an attempt to force people to pay to hear the rest of the story is so uncool! There are plenty of other podcast companies out there who aren’t using tactics like this; I don’t need to listen to or be subscribed to mamma mia’s podcasts. Unsubscribed and deleted. From ALL. Of mamma mia’s podcasts.

0liveluluA favorite! As a lister in the US I like hearing about cases in Australia and other countries. This is a favorite that I always look forward to hearing. The stories are new and fresh and well presented. Thank you!

brooklynmuse79Cuts to the chaseGreat questions by interviewer and a welcome change from so much filler and pomp on many true crime podcasts. I’m amazed it’s not more popular.
-
x.catherine.xFascinating interviewsAnd Jessie is one of the best interviewers out there. Thanks!!
-
KCICC⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Fascinating and well done!

Donata JeanneWanted to like it, but . . .Between the fuzzy phone interviews? And no declarative sentences? It set my nerves on edge? Are you irritated yet? Imagine hours of willing the podcaster's voice to drop down at the end of a sentence just ONCE and it never does. Also, she needs much better equipment if every episode is a phone interview! Lastly, I just tried an episode prefaced by a bunch of unnecessary trigger warnings (we all choose to listen to true crime) and then with NO warning or chance to skip ahead, we're not just told about "animal abuse," but about the specific horrific torture done to a cat. No one, especially women, wants to hear this. I'm very visual and can't stop imagining it. I've been listening to TC podcasts since 2007; not hanging around here.
