Good morning! Just wanted to let anyone reading this, this is an awesome podcast and I hope it makes it through this pandemic! John is such a great story teller. It has re-ignited a fire in me for history that might have never been there haha.

Thanks for the interesting stories of Allegheny City. However I found your remarks on the Native population to be offensive and insensitive, almost laughing at their cultural and spiritual practices. For doing a history podcast, I would expect you to name the tribe and have accurate information, not “whatever god” they called it, and to understand their perspective as land was taken from them.

I loved, loved, loved the episodes with Greg Brown! I could listen to historic Pittsburgh sports talk for hours.

I’ve had so much fun learning about these amazing stories! I know so much more about my city now! Love John and Andy too!!

Let me start by saying I absolutely love this podcast. It’s interesting and entertaining. What I do not love is John’s inability to pronounce just about anything. I know that is hyper-critical. I know this podcast is less polished and produced than others. But my god, if you’re going to talk about this stuff, learn how to say it.

I’ve been following John on social media for a while now and have been very happy to get a deep dive into Pittsburgh topics during my work commute. As a history geek myself, I can’t get enough of these stories and can’t wait for the next one to arrive on my phone. I also like Andy’s sense of humor. Nice job guys. Keep the stories and research coming.

The topics are interesting, but there is so much inane banter that it makes it impossible to listen to. Also, the tired Pittsburgh jokes and ‘yinzer’ references have all been done to death before and need to end.
