I can't believe you gave up! You were THE best...
And the issues are still with us. Can you come back once in a while?

    Timely and informative
Thanks, guys, for providing this thrice-weekly analysis of the healthcare bill progress. Your discussion of this topic really helped me to understand the many layers of this topic. Will look for future 'casts as the healthcare policy unfolds.

Don't go! Good, hard data and insights
Great infos balanced well between the technical insurance, medical industry concerns and the legislative and political spasms. Thanks so much, don't go away til this thing is well and truly dead or .... *shudder* something else happens.

Bummer--I Discovered This Show & It Ends?!?!!
My decrepit old iPhone 5s just erased my ENTIRE podcast library with 700+ unlistened-to episodes of an unknown number of podcasts so I ventured into Podcast Land in an attempt to find them again--or something. This podcast, on a subject I think is critically important, jumped out at me. After a pretty entertaining and fairly interesting summary of the most recent twists and turns THEY ANNOUNCED THEY'RE ENDING IT!?! The nation has no comprehension of how important the subject of state run "healthcare" (or lack thereof) is. If the ongoing disaster of the VA health care hasn't convinced people (who, for the most part, do not have to use it--which is why they can ignore it) I am almost ready to give up--except I use a LOT of state run "healthcare" already. I know what a NIGHTMARE it is! As a dependent of a military retiree, I am forced to use the military medical system. I've had 9 primary care managers (that is your main doctor through whom you must go to access any care) in the last 18 months. You almost have to have lived it to know what a horror that is. The delay in care pretty much forces you to use the ER or an urgent care clinic for your primary care--something most planners claim they are trying to prevent. The loss of this podcast is so sad. For a moment, I thought there was a was way to keep up with the helter skelter path that our nation seems to have embraced on the way to joining the European model of state run (non)care. If their example isn't enough to keep us from committing medical suicide by joining them, I am almost ready to give up. Goodbye, fellas. I thought for a moment there was hope.

    Necessary listening
Knowledgeable and understandable. A podcast that everyone should listen to.

    Incisive and concise
I'm surprised more people haven't rated this great new podcast. I've been reading and listening to Jordan Weissmann for years. He and Jim Newell have good rapport. Highly recommended.

    These liberals are dumb...
They can't even make up some constructive criticism they are literally just making fun of him every time he takes a piss.

    Required Listening
Weismann and Newell get right to the point, and boy do they know their stuff. The intricacies of healthcare can make your head explode, but thankfully these fellas will help you navigate it.

Good if you're worried about healthcare!
Especially if you're hopeless with politics!

    Amazing way to be informed
The podcast does a good job at breaking down what is happening in the house and senate with the ACA and the BCRA. They give enough background for people new to the subject to understand what's going on and but also go deep enough to allow a good learning and analytical experience. You'll definitely notice they are anti-Trump, but I feel they approach data in an objective way. You'll both learn and get quick laughs here and there.

    Excellent
The place to get the inside scoop about how republican legislators are going about their mission to replace the ACA. Fascinating.
  • an atlanta, ga pediatrician
    Very good
Better than an attempt.... rather a very good summary of the craziness that is going on with the healthcare ... well it is not a debate....that would involve 2 groups actually discussing differences in core beliefs This is a great summary trying to encapsulate the NONdebate the GOP is trying to ram down Americans throats with no regard to health care policy Many will find it biased or one sided.....it is not... the problem is trying to find GOP representatives who can support or comment on the policy goals of Trumpcare. As there are none, it is impossible to give "balanced" reporting. That is not a ding against the podcast, that is a ding against the process

I feel much more informed after each episode. Really is a fantastic pod.

Getting past the cable news soundbytes
Cable news is an exchange of -- often dumb -- talking points. This show goes deeper and digs into the nuts and bolts of this legislation and the political calculations Senators have to make about it. Great show.

    Wonky but Understandable
Really short (thank you) but packed with great up-to-the-minute info. Although there is also a political component, I really appreciate the podcasters' ability to explain complicated healthcare policy in an understandable way.
  • R Melvin
    Worthwhile
Relatively brief, well-explained information about what might be going on in secret to determine the future of my family's health, well-being, and solvency.

    Defeating GOP hijinx

The Best Way to Track Trumpcare
Since the Senate is not telling us anything about the proposed American Health Care Act, Jordan Weissman and Jim Newell are our best hope for understanding what is happening on Capitol Hill. This podcast is definitely worth a listen!
  • Drumpfh8r
Nice work jim newell and Jordan Weismann

    We need more!!!
I hate that so many podcasts have popped up that are about Trump but I love this one and the others for informing the public of this President and his term. We need to stay up to date on what he and his are doing and trying to pull over the American people.
  • Mollymeb
    Important!
This podcast is one of the great things about podcasts. It is a podcast tailored to the emergency need for any information at all about Congress trying to pass a healthcare bill behind closed doors. I encourage everyone to listen.
