Improv #49

We start on a land that is still. Some may say it's not moving. From each of the Four Great nations a champion emerges. This story is not about them.

Join Polly Waddle the Duck, Sunbelt Gongbonger the Minotaur, Dinner Munchabout the very divorced man and Charion Valariant the rich kid for a new saga with a new set of heroes they call The Dragon Friends

Dragon Friends is a monthly comedy show and podcast where six Australian Comedians muddle their way through their second Dungeons and Dragons campaign.

    Non conical
One time Ben Jenkins screamed at an audience member that the episode of Thomas the Tank Engine they referenced was non conical. Five stars

    Hillarious
The funniest podcast I've listened to

    Auto antonyms
“Bear” and “cast”, they require context tho. I think they are more of homonym onomatopoeias. So I think “raise” is really the closest you get. I love this show!

Baston Isn’t the Only Best in This One
I started this out with little to no knowledge of D&D and even less knowledge of random history of NSW, and I can safely say I am now an expert in one of those two categories. This is one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to, I’ve listened to every season multiple times over the last year and a half and it’s something I truly look forward to every other week. The cast and crew are phenomenal, with an amazing mixer and producer behind them. Very sad to see Edan leaving but excited for his return!! His musical numbers and semi-racist portrayals of a Swed is something that will always disturb me. Keep up the amazing work!!!

    I’m The Best!
Quite possibly the world’s greatest D&D podcast The Live Show element gives me strong “Thrilling Adventure Hour” vibes and I’m not sure if there’s a better way to compliment a show
  • Generak Bob
    Plot hole
I love this show so much but freezo constantly loses his spell book which is hilarious except warlocks don’t need spell books
  • mbark23
Maybe the funniest podcast I’ve listened to
I can’t listen to this at work very much or people start to look at me weird for how much I’m laughing
  • Parakozm
    Hilarious D&D shenanigans!
These guys are a listeners dream (and a DM’s worst nightmare)

    My Favorite Podcast
Quite simply the best podcast ever.

    The lizard bit
I laugh so much at this show all the way from season 1. The lizard bit though is probably the best thing besides Johnny PlayStation singing girlfriend and Bastón singing I’m the best. Thanks for keeping me entertained and giving me ideas for my own campaign in which I have an NPC named Daston, legally different from Gaston and Bastón. Not sure why auto correct keeps putting an apostrophe over the o but whatever.

    Seven Main Campaigns of Gold
Comedy and Fantasy blends so well on this D&D show. Even when fan favorite sociopath Freezo is not on the show, it’s still a lot of fun.

    Love you guys!
You guys gave me so much inspiration as a DM and part-time Bloodhunter Teifling, especially Freezo and his murder spree, I was looking for a comedy D&D podcast and found out about you guys from the podcast Dave was a guest on called All In Love you guys, you’re really funny and I really hope you keep making podcasts

    Love at First Witchbolt
This podcast is beyond any means of explanation. It’s hands down one of my absolute favorite shows across any medium. It’s a bucket list to travel to the other side of the world and see these folks live. Just do yourself a favor and listen already!

    Like listening to friends
This show is hilarious and to me, it feels like I’m there with my friends playing a great game of DnD. Listening also makes doing any chore a lot more fun and bearable. I have listened through several of the seasons more than once, and I always laugh again and again.

The podcast that got me into podcasts
Dragon Friends are the best. So funny. So good. I hope when convention starts again they will visit Orlando so I can see one of their shows. Listen to all the season you not be disappointed and you will laugh we all need more of that.. It’s my husband and I favorite group / podcast and hard to find others as good after binging all the available seasons.

    Genius Roleplay Podcast!
From the wilds of Faerun, the villages of Daggerford, to the neon lit streets of CyberFuture Japan 2075, you’ll not find a funnier more genuinely hilarious role playing podcast! These guys are next level hilarious with unbelievably funny characters and storyline and (it boggles the mind) as many as 4 different funny voices they can do! I’ll listen til they day I die in space! If they don’t drive dungeon Dave Harmon to an elaborate quintuple murder suicide before then. You guys rock!

    Love this show!
Can’t get enough of this hilarious show! I’ve never played a game of D&D in my life, but I love listening to these weirdos roll their way to glory. This is the only podcast I’ve listened to all of their seasons multiple times! Keep up the great work! And let’s get some more merch going, yeah?

    Keep coming back
This show is hilarious, ridiculous, and at times stupid, and I mean that with love. I can’t stop coming back and listening again and again. It just makes me happy.
  • Venomtankmod3
    Great
This show is funny, and has some crude humor too. Great. And also the comedy is 10/10 What is with them using Toms characters as barricades/meat shields?
  • Saiorse70
    Never disappoints!
I have an hour and a half commute each way and I laugh the whole way!
  • Nebulaoblivion
    Witty, original, creative, funny, fun
The Dragon friends is consistently funny and interesting. It’s my favorite DND podcast. I only wish they uploaded more frequently so I could listen more!

    This Podcast rolled a 20
This is the greatest podcast I’ve ever listened to. Michael Hing, Alex Lee, Edan Lacey, and Simon Greiner have unbelievably good chemistry. Well Hing doesn’t have the. Chemistry but that’s part of the fun! The music is on point, the DM David May be crafting a story, but often times he must fly by the seat of his pants as these four incredible comedians take control and make the story their own. This is entirely worth your time. Usually it takes three or four episodes to really get into a podcast, but from day one they will have you laughing out loud and dying to know what happens next. Thank you for making such a quality podcast. Listen if you love DND. Listen if you’ve never heard of it! You’ll pick it up quick and be in on the joke.

    Better than GoT
Idk what it says that this show got me into D&D. But yea. I’m more invested in these adventures than I rightly should be I think. You don’t have to be a D&D fan to enjoy this show. It’s just great fun
  • Ptao126
    With comedians such as these...
Hilarious, the perfect blend of comedians who don’t really know how to play Dungeons and Dragons and rich fantasy story telling

    None Better
I was trying to think about the best thing I could say about DFs, and it's this. Whenever a new episode loads up, the ep goes straight to the top of the queue. I listen to a lot of podcasts, and never once have been failed to be entertained by DFs. Always great, and usually laugh out loud funny. Listen! (Added recommendation... This is the only podcast I’ve ever gone back to and listened through again.)
  • 2Whalebiologist
    Brilliant
I binged 4 seasons, 3 specials and half of tomb of annihilation. I’ve just restarted season 1 again and it’s still just as good. Super bummed that they record in the exact wrong hemisphere as I’d love to see them live. Also, The addition of Baston is the best thing that ever happened. Edit- Eden Lacey is the best thing that ever happened.

Funniest podcast I’ve ever listened to.
The title really sums it up well. I love this podcast. I’ve listened to most of it and I’m sad I’m about to be finished. I really hope there are more seasons to come because I can’t live without this podcast. 10/5 best podcast ever.

    GREAT SHOW
I listen religiously and love it. So funny and great stories/adventures!! I found it through Free to a Good Home which is also lovely!

    Vaccines don’t cause autism
Love the podcast, but telling your large audience that in a fake world vaccines don’t cause autism. Especially, when in this world they don’t cause autism either. It’s a very entertaining podcast otherwise.

    Your Dragon Friend from Kentucky
I just want to be a member of the gang...even though I’m in Kentucky. I literally laugh out loud during big parts of most of the episodes. Please keep it up guys and gals!

Probably the funniest live play dnd podcast out there. Hilarious characters and plots. It’s so freaking good.

    Give it a chance!
Listened to one episode, didn’t care for it. Listened to three in a row, and fell in love. It takes a bit to hook you due to all of the in-jokes and the format, but definitely worth a listen! One of my new favorites

    D&D Comedy Gold
I listen to a lot of D&D podcasts, and this one is definitely in my top three. It is absolutely hilarious, and never boring. D&D as it should be!

    Very commercially viable!
This podcast rules and is very marketable and appropriate!

The one show I get withdrawals from
I can’t articulate why, but I love this show so much. It is the only show in my feed for which I will repeatedly download and listen to the most recent episode in order to keep myself satiated until the next new episode comes out. The irreverent comedy layered over a detailed and often complex story triggers all the parts of my brain that make me happy. I hope more people pick up and listen to this show, which has just gotten better and better with each season.

    Best of the best
Highly underrated podcast. Even if you don’t play D&D you will laugh yourself silly.
