I used to love this podcast…
Until they replaced Neil. He was such a good interviewer and had an encyclopedic knowledge about all things Rays. He’s great at asking questions because he’s so well researched and has a pulse on the organization. And he has relationships with a lot of the players and front office which made the interviews go smoothly. So it’s a shame that the new guy sounds like a college kid reading poorly crafted questions off of a notecard. Maybe he’ll get better with time, but Neil was perfect for this job and made the podcast worth listening to. I’d give this new edition of the podcast 0 stars if I could.

The only Rays podcast, but it's a good one
Weekly recaps of all the games with radio calls and interviews. Neil is a natural host.

    Good but with sound issues
There is good info here on team transactions and player interviews. Someone please do something about the sound when Bill Chatain calls in; it is unlistenable. I don't mean that figuratively because he probably has great info, but he sounds like he is speaking into a tin can on the moon.

    Neil Solondz has keen insights
Spring training reports have been useful as injuries and trades have made the roster fluid. Thanks to Neil Solondz there is clarity and analysis. I listen to every episode. Let's go Rays!

    This is all we got
Unfortunately, Rays fans do not have a lot of places to get quality insight on their team. This isn't one, either, but it's what there is. First off, it's Major League Baseball, which prints money, but you can't do your podcast with any higher quality than recording a telephone conversation? Really? Is this 1991? You have a TV network, you can't create an audio studio? Second, Leach is miscast as the host of this thing. He doesn't do much research (including saying things like "This guy has been doing pretty well" when the guy had been injured and hadn't played for two and a half months or saying Wil Myers has been swinging the bat well since his return, which wasn't even close to being true).
