When the podcast first began, my buddies and I had a game where we had to drink a beer every time Lopez said “Deadly Dudley”. It was fun. But he doesn’t say it anymore

Been listening to Lopez on the radio most of my life. Listening to him talk fishing, is like listening to a favorite uncle.

I’ve been to listen to this podcast for several months it’s great information for the average fisherman that don’t have the chance to get out there and fish every day.

I love listening on my way to work. I learned a lot from listing to this pod cast. First heard about it on the Salty Yak Pack podcast. I now watch suggest YouTube channels with people from the BiteMe cast.

My family and I love listening on the way down to POC. Wonderful insight, very knowledgeable opinions, well structured topics and transitions, and not bogged down with off topic conversation.

Your show is great....often discussing initiatives to make regulation changes.....one to consider......limit croaker to private parties only, NO GUIDE PARTIES......or limit months that croaker can be used......thanks

I love this podcast. Both John And Scott are very knowledgeable and very willing to share what they have learned over the years. My only criticism is that John is so enthusiastic to share information, that sometimes he cuts Scott or Caleb (when he is on) off, and we don’t get their perspective. Just something to work on.

The podcast is enjoyable and has helped me catch fish.

You guys going into so much detail on the simple questions that I feel embarrassed to ask at the tackle shop. I truly appreciate it especially the boat talk.

Great podcast— informative, stimulative and well organized

This show is great and the captains have a ton of knowledge but it would be better if John wouldn’t interrupt and interject so often and just let Capt Scott or Capt Caleb finish their thoughts.

I really enjoy listening to this podcast. I mostly fish on the Chesapeake bay and rivers/streams but find many of the topics and certainly their enthusiasm for fishing relevant for however/wherever you like to throw a line in the water.

I just returned to fishing after an almost, decade long, unintentional sabbatical. I was wanting some help with obsessing on fishing. Help taking my mind off other things. Things that shouldn’t be mentioned with a fishing rod in your hand. John Lopez’s voice has a classic tone, similar to a baseball announcer from the old days. I feel like I’m sitting right there with you. And it brings back memories of the radio shows we listened to in the wee hours of the morning as my dad drove us to the lake, bay or offshore. I’ve learned so much binge listening to this podcast. Like Captain Scott’s use of a barometer. I always thought the higher, the better when it came to atmospheric pressure. Like I said, really good stuff.

Not sure who gave this thing one star- you know what you’re getting into. It’s not like it pretended to be a podcast on Middle East politics and then surprises you with fishing lures. What you see is what you hear. Take some responsibility for your star ratings, people.

Provide more detail on how to access Caleb’s YouTube Channel. For those of us that do not use Facebook. Awesome show thanks for keeping it real.

Looked for years for show like this. Topics are on point. No nonsense. Just real advice tips and interesting even funny stories. Keep up the great work guys !

I really like this podcast. I live in Texas and enjoy listening to relevant fishing stories and advice. I’ve found the podcast very informative and look forward to applying advice to when I fish. My only beef is the beating of the dead horse about catch-and-release. It seems like just about every episode they talk about catch-and-release, at length. I get it that it’s important but a little to preachy for me.

I discovered this podcast a week ago from a google search and I’ve done nothing but listen to every episode in order from the beginning! Great info and tips for all anglers, salty or green.

Content is great. This is a very difficult pod cast to listen to. The audio volume is very low from Scott and you can barely hear him. Then the host talks at a volume 5 times louder. Too bad it is very hard to listen to.

Really enjoy the podcast and it’s absolutely the most informative saltwater fishing podcast there is. If you’re wanting to learn about inshore fishing in general this podcast is a must!

Great podcast for all skill levels and types of fishing. 4/5 stars only because Capt Null is always hard to hear.

Would be a great pod cast but you can barely hear captain Scott, so you turn the volume up to hear him then you get hit in the ears with John Lopez yelling at you about his popping cork.

Love you guys! Learning loads, but I still don’t have enough time to put it it use. During those rare occasions that I can get the boat wet, I see am much better armed after listening to you podcast. Thanks for doing what you do.

Informative and good topics. Some podcast it is hard to hear Captain Scott. Have to turn volume up and down. Should be a simple fix.

Very specific, clear advice on fishing the Texas Gulf Coast. Their strategies and techniques on finding and catching speckled trout, redfish and flounder has shown results. John and Scott have a smooth, respectful interaction as an enthusiast and a pro.
