Buffalo chicken dip happensThe show that holds people in lineGreat college basketball coverage starting in January, but what I really appreciate is that this podcast holds people accountable. Stephen A. Hartzell doesn’t let the minor details go unnoticed. If your name is Joe Lunardi, Jerry Palm, or (insert other big name here) and your job title says “bracketologist”, you gotta be updating your bracket projections every day! Most people scoot by this as if it’s not that important, but Hartzell is on it. Hold these men accountable! Signed, A former CSN podcast guest

WarDamnEagle195 star podCan only leave a five star review for Hartzel. Not Norlander given his very lazy ranking of Auburn preseason 27 saying: “Now Bruce Pearl has a group with sites set again on winning the SEC, though as you can see I'm a seller on that idea. Every year there are a few teams ranked in the preseason that prove to be overshots, and I'll take a chance Auburn applies here... For reasons hard to foresee, some teams just take steps back.” Really bro? All in good fun, he has many other good takes, but had to dunk on this one. Here because of HITD. Let’s grow!

Fluffy Llama Man-child5 Star! This podcast exemplifies intellectual rigor and basketball acumen, providing an insightful fusion of advanced statistical analysis and nuanced commentary. montyminutesLove Hartzell & Norlander!Great show — really enjoy Hartzell and Norlander in the spring. Not someone who regularly tunes into the the CFB programming but will dip into the college baseball stuff when my Longhorns are relevant. Keep up the good work guys!

DcartCOHARTZELL is the MAN! Fresh Takes and Moneyline RakesI’ve been an avid fan of Stephen Hartzell’s takes ever since I discovered him through Matt Norlander’s CBS Eye On CBB podcast (which is a must listen for any die hard college hoops fan) about FIVE YEARS ago (man time flies), and was amazed that there were actually fellow sports fanatics out there who were also into discussing great music, deep cut records, and live show recaps on their podcasts. The best of both worlds and I’m here for it. You should be too!!! Also checkout Hartzell’s Hand in the Dirt podcast. I grew up in Virginia (now in Colorado) and when i’m feeling homesick they always come through, on topics specific to the Appalachian region, gardening, sports, shoes, cards, music, relationships and more. Keep it up boys. 5 stars! (6 stars really.)

Stevo0718The Only National CFB Podcast that Mentions GT every weekI was initially hooked with Roddy on the schedule and remembering Hartzell from every GT halftime and postgame show on Leerfield, but have come to enjoy Stephen’s take on everything. I enjoy Hand in the Dirt, but I find Stephen to be the most relatable and enjoyable dude. He is great and the man for CSN.

The gamerskiThe UCLA showThis show used to be much better. The cohost on here is the next UCLA player and literally 40% of the show is all UCLA. About 60% of the show is pac 12. Are the rest of the country isn’t talked about much aside from him the top four or five teams.

DoctorB2BLove some SteeleWhat a blast from the past for me. Listened to Phil Steele 10-15 years ago when he would come on with Tony Mercurio on ESPN 1310. Really enjoying the pod, love that Phil’s format hasn’t changed a lick. Some O/U and ATS picks to toss out for week 2 2023 season: North Carolina St at UConn - over on points with NCSU covering the spread Florida at Utah - think way over on points and Utah handily covers the very slim spread Nebraska at Minnesota - under on points with Minnesota covering Colorado at TCU - I’m buying the Colorado hype, I’ll take the over on points, think TCU wins but doesn’t cover the spread. Cheers guys, keep up the great work!

Greg4321ChemistryCan’t stress enough how enjoyable it is to listen to a pod where the host knows his guests. I don’t even like CBB till March, but devotedly listen each week like a Sicko for repartee between Hartzell, Surber & Norlander. Y’all are in the pocket best come round ball season.

Sloth43Vols love CSNLeaving a review from my husbands account just to say thanks for the Tennessee love, specifically “Rocky Top slaps,” we love you Hartzell! Wayne, you the man, hope the Vols make it to LA soon!
-
ejlusmcMust Listen PodWhat a fantastic show! No pun intended. Hartzell and Surber do a fantastic job keeping us College Sports junkies in the know and provide lots of laughs along the way. Roddy Jones keeps the pod grounded in all things ACC but Wayne Cook is the true franchise QB of the show keeping it real with West Coast unbias. Keep up the great work! 🏄🐻😎🌹
-
HBradberryGood stuffThe banter between Wayne Hartzell and Surber is fantastic. Wayne brings the West Coast perspective which is different than most other podcasts.
-
dirtbags unite!Dirtbag CSN crossoverI’ve been meaning to write my review but had to stop 3 mins in to the pod to come write it the moment Hartzell assumed “El Pato” was the president of Georgia Tech. Love the show with Roddy and Gojo, Wayne hijacking the midweek, PhSteele, and of course Felder Fridays. And can’t leave out my guy, internet sensation El Surberino. Keep it up guys!
-
ringa fan🦆I could listen to Wayne rant about the difficulty of the Pac-12’s 9 game conference schedule every week.

Nat Go VawlsIt feels like 98!Appreciate these guys for their wide range of coverage of college football. They never hesitate to debate and go on a good tangent. Hartzell, thanks for the Vols hype, place some bets at the Cherokee Casino ;)

Gail2255Excellent show that is also funnyI found this podcast from the Hand in the Dirt podcast, and I'm so glad that I did. It's smart and hilarious. Mr. Hartzell brings out the best in the experts he interviews, and it always sounds like friends talking that we get to listen to and learn from. Love it. Plus it covers college basketball and baseball just as well! If you love college sports, you need this show in your life.

Patrick TolanFunny podcastStumbled upon this one through Matt Norlander’s eye on cbb pod. (If you haven’t listened do so immediately) but I do like this podcast so far. Very laid back and a good listen. Keep it up!

Hoopin25Love the hoopsUnderrated college podcast here! Matt Norlander makes this a must-listen during college basketball 👏🏼
-
AmblerLnOne of the best shows on any pod!Excellent mix of personnel, Hartzell: this guy is a maestro in orchestrating this show, add Wayne Cook, Server (I know it’s hard being a Clemson Fan😉) et al. Unbeatable combination nice mix of conference “flavor”. Keep it going, can’t wait for the championship show and next year!
-
Give Me Some Bread MattyWayne Cook!I like hearing this generic fake tough guy stories from Wayne Cook. Some good old time jeopardizing his long term well being for a logo and college. Simpler times.
-
Averyb235/5Felder Friday is legit, babyyy. Hartzell and Felder are a great duo. Every week you get the best football and lifestyle analysis out there. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
