A great listen for longhorn fans. They're insightful, knowledgeable, upbeat, and a joy to listen to. I love how they run down other sports on campus, perspective through a burnt orange lens, and other good tidbits such as book and tv recommendations.

All the Longhorn podcasts are good, but these guys are great! Gerald and Kyle cover all the bases and do a great job doing it. Keep it up fellas, Hook ‘Em!

Good discussion about the black athletes’ requests. My opinion differs from yours on one request: separate black athlete section of the Hall of Fame. IMO that is a segregationist move. We should not divide by race but be colorblind. 75 Life Member

Guys, big fan of the podcast! I love what you guys do and look forward every week during the season to new episodes. The reason I docked a star is that the post production needs some work. Sometimes your voices are layered or an advertisement is inserted in the middle of a conversation with no warning. Podcast is not bad but kinda getting tired of the left leaning ads. Don’t really care to hear about politics or “elites” like bill maher. Zero touch with reality.

Follow UT news closely and listen to all the pods that get put out. This one is by far the best at being both informative and fun. They keep it lighthearted but obviously know their stuff. 10/10 recommend & Hook ‘Em!

I don’t understand how by now you can have your levels so off. Audio needs to be way balanced in every aspect. I spend too much time raising and lowering the volume. As for content, it’s fine. Maybe cut the air in between and less off topic banter.

Strengths: familiarity with longhorn players, coverage of all sports, seasoned podcasters. Weaknesses: always wearing rose-colored glasses (out of touch with reality), lack of depth on analysis regarding football success/failure but instead rely on cliche narratives to highlight why Texas will win (will they fight for the name on their chest/will the more talented team win/will Herman play for his job/will this maligned secondary step up...blah blah blah anyone could write this kind of material). What to improve: improve on the analysis, talk about something a fan can indeed follow and watch, educate.

I love these guys. They have an upbeat passion for UT sports that is honest and refreshing. Good takes, solid analysis, and I appreciate the attention they give the non-revenue generating sports. PLEASE get a competent producer! The sound levels are all over the place. I have to turn it way up for the hosts, then my ears bleed during the ads/interstitials. Listen to almost any other podcast and they have this figured out. It’s not rocket surgery.

My favorite Longhorn football podcast with knowledgeable and witty commentary. The only burnt orange podcast worth listening to.
