“When docs Cry” … Prince very possibly never viewed documentary
Be it that it may, although as they said, he was not respectively recognized (if at all) in the - so called - RS “best guitarist of all time” group, this is just another disgraceful, dishonest, disrespectful and glorified-ignorance in ways to downgrade and red-line entertainers of which are genius in their field of entertainment as “Prince” himself and “Michael Jackson”, were both stripped of their legacies (in my opinion) as with Michael’s murder by his doctor - that later after serving little - received his own practice, and Prince of whom was adored by so many, should never have died alone. This is of little surprise. These entertainers were as jesters to such industry for purely drugged profit until depleted. - s.jxn - ga

    My favorite news podcast
I love this podcast. So informative. So interesting. Sometimes funny, sometimes thoughtful. Perfect mix. Great hosts and great interviews. I am grateful for sometimes the random episodes about culture and life to distract me from politics.

    Out of touch
Obvious case of deceitful misinformation. Find a few isolated, mentally unhealthy women to advocate for the countries female population is so patronizing and ridiculous. The fact you guys don’t see that is hilarious. Let’s be clear - there will be FAR MORE women and men getting married under this administration. 100% guaranteed.

Pin the tail in the donkey
I really enjoy your show! I will say the episode analyzing why the Democrats lost at the polls was odd… your guest essentially saying that the Democrats have to go more right… that’s wild. Harris lost because she was trying to reach more moderates and, shockingly, they didn’t vote for her. Democrats need to go more left…

    Love this podcast!
Now that the convicted felon will be in control, please spread the truth of all the damage he will be doing to destroy our country. The people need to know the mistake they made by voting for this evil person.

    Indispensable part of my day
I love this show. I listen every day. I love that I can learn something new or revealing every time. This is journalism at its best.

Big fan of both Noel and Sean.

    Erasure of Muslims
You did an entire podcast about demographics for the election and didn’t mention Gaza or the Arab/Muslim vote as if it doesn’t matter at all. Is it because Zionists sponsor this podcast or because Indians hate Muslims as much as Americans? Expected more from this podcast.

Insult bloomers when having nothing to say
Explain It To Me! This show was embedded in Today Explained and I do not like it at all. Not only does the host giggle too much, she did not seem to have anything meaningful to say about campaign text messages except sharing her all biased yet dump idea about bloomers “Those bloomers surely like to cross their checks a lot.” Are you kidding me - those are the type of bloomers you know? Who are you hanging out with? You’re be SO surprised that there are so many tech-savvy bloomers.

    Elon Musk
Horrible interview! Why did y’all select to interview someone who works for a Murdoch publication to talk about Musky. No wonder it was so positive. WSJ is Fox News lite. Not a reputable source.

    No Paywall
They don’t hide their stuff behind a paywall, unlike some other podcasts!

    Don’t Prey On The Uneducated
I used to love this podcast and would listen every day. But, like other reviewers, it feels like they are taking a nose dive. I fell off after the “Mr. Veep” episode and how ridiculous the stretch was to have an entire half episode dedicated to where you are “categorizing the different types of American masculinity” in the VP candidates. It’s such obvious pandering and an attempt to sway uneducated voters, not sure who listened to that one and didn’t roll their eyes at the reaching that was happening. Unfortunate because again, I looked forward to listening but I’m kind of done at this point.

You don’t have to do that.
Leave the Michael Barbaro moan to Michael Barbaro.

    Ads *sigh*
I really enjoy the discussions and reporting; I usually catch the show on NPR. Today is my first time accessing the podcast version - and my God, the ads! They’re just such an interruption that I lose track and have to reset when the show picks back up.
  • WHolt82
    You’ve gone too left!
I really used to enjoy this podcast, but the closer we get to the election, the clearer the bias has become. I’m done with the anti-right narrative. We don’t need your opinions. We need facts!! I’m out.

    So Many Ads
Why no paid version? It’s roughly 50% ads by volume.

    This is my favorite podcast
I listen to every episode and I love it. Topical, funny, great editing and I love the topics. Thank you!

    Good centered news
Extremists rate this as propaganda. Understandable when it shines a light on how far down the MAGA-hole they are. For the average 40ish white dude, this is quite fair, maybe even a little bit capitalistic and on the right side of politics. But you can’t have news without some interpretation. Got to put on our thinking caps anytime we consume media to filter out what’s opinion. Guess the right wingers don’t like capitalist news?? Such weird little guys over in Trumpistan, big sensitive feels with real TDE vibes. Anyway, this podcast is just fine for news from a corporate perspective.

What a nice surprise to hear Kimberly Adams on this episode. I love her on the Make Me Smart podcast with Kai.

    Not Impartial
I like this show and I use it to stay informed but Noel needs to watch how blatant she is about her opinions. It’s giving left wing media propaganda.
  • PistonWingsFan
    Opinion sold as news
Propaganda sold to you, listener, as facts and unbiased news! Their pop spin on everything is the equivalent of selling nicotine in fruity flavors. Enjoy!
  • sydwms
    Debate episode
Wild how it has become a big nothing burger that a surrogate for the largest danger to this content is permitted to treat his comment about immigrants as inelegant rather than absolute bunkers. Not great, all

    Good content, excessive ads
Generally good content here, but the ads are excessive - feel like they consume half the podcast.

    Democrats
Obviously democrats - too bad I was hoping for facts not the deep state at work.

    Too many ads
I love this show but are you kidding me the number of ads??? This excessive even for a commercial podcast.
  • garbagephonecompany
    Propaganda
Pretty easy to tell that this program is meant to spread the democrats message. Extremely biased. They should declare their bias if they want to be taken seriously.
  • New York Democrat
    Racist show
Noelle King is racist and clueless, you keep claiming “trans women” are women and that Kamala’s race really matters
  • hdvincelette
    Political episodes are too left-biased.
The world is in desperate need of non-partisan journalism. Though episodes without a political focus are high quality, the rest are painfully left-biased. Make a change and be the podcast that leads difficult conversations with people of different worldviews.
  • Not Swimming Well With Mike
    Good topics, odd approach
Please, please, please please please stop trying to be songwriters and creating jingles for humor. It is, in no uncertain terms, completely completely bad craft and junior varsity. I listen to this show with my daughter and I try to talk to her about the topics. But I cannot explain to her “Byrd Pinkerton fought with the military octopus and came out the other side speaking fluent Sanskrit and invited her parakeet to the theatre”. Cut out the 10th grade stuff, you’re adults.

I like the show for the most part, but it is very gender biased. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere.

So not one word about the Hindu minority being hunted and murdered by those “peace seeking” Islamist student protesters that toppled the government? Wish that was more surprising but coming from Vox there is only one POV that is acceptable.

    Teck titans backing Trump
???? I’m really sorry to have to give you guys two stars because generally, I find the podcast interesting. However, after a little blurb about Elon Musk, the podcast launches into all the Silicon Valley support for Kamala Harris. I always had the impression you guys were above this type of bait and switch. I’m so sad that I was wrong about that.

    Weird background noise
I started listening to the Tim Walz pod and was enjoying it but when the discussion turned to Walz’s negatives weird background music started playing. Like SciFi noise and extremely distracting and annoying. I stopped listening and unfollowed the poorly produced show.
  • Megan729561
    Obnoxious sound effects
I’ve listened to this podcast for years, but I can’t handle the sound effects they’ve started using. It’s cringeworthy, like a kid was let lose in a radio station and is hitting all the buttons. I listened to you for your great content, not random poorly edited song mashups, laugh tracks and donkey sounds.
  • Cheddarsauce
    Probably my favorite pod
Most well produced podcast. Love the story tease before the first advertisements. Wish every pod had this structure. Love the topics too. Thanks to everyone involved.

  • I aM mE fan!!!
    Chasing the hype
Don’t expect deep analytical storytelling. More like chasing a hot topic and adding fluff. Can be tone deaf.

Provides no balance of opinions - NYT Dupe
Update: This show still focus on left wing democrat issues. No change. It’s only gotten worse. I use to religiously listen to Today Explained because they provided a balance of opinions. but around Jan 2023 the show made a very clear and huge shift. The show is pretty much repeating NYT Daily. Yet again a news source that provides only a Democratic Party side view of things, no middle middle ground, and absolutely no Republican Party views, even slightly.
  • mcc_nyc
    Please
Noel King should try not to laugh out loud as a response to people she interviews in literally every single episode she hosts. Many times the topic at hand is not even necessarily “funny.” It makes it really difficult to take her or this show seriously.

    You hosted Scott Jennings
I thought this podcast was great. However, after the last episode featuring Scott Jennings, I won’t be listening anymore. This pod debased itself by inviting a GOP propagandist on and parading him around like he actually had a rational and thoughtful perspective to offer. Next time, you ought to at least qualify to the audience that one of your guests is a gaslighting partisan toady and Trump apologist who is willing eat his own words and to justify the January 6th insurrection when his political career requires such even after writing in 2021: “ President Donald Trump caused this insurrection with his lies and conspiracy theories about the election process being rigged against him. It was not stolen, but this madness was fomented by the President and his top advisers over the past several months. His attorney Rudy Giuliani, at a rally on Wednesday, called for "trial by combat" to a roaring crowd. Let me be clear: These rioters are not Republicans. These are not conservatives. These are not patriots bursting into the US Capitol, accosting police officers and destroying public property.” This is the same person, the same Scott Jennings, who just waxed poetic on this pod about Trump’s moral authority to condemn political violence. Something about Trump getting “his ear shot off.” But that’s a lie too, isn’t it? Otherwise what is a that prop white bandage wrapped around on the side of Trumps head?Scott lied multiple times on the episode without any fact-checking or pushback - Donald Trump did not enter into politics in 2015; Scott conveniently misrepresented the fact that Trump actually ran for President before his 2015/16 campaign; the is no world in which Scott does not know about Trump’s pathetic attempt to run for President as a “Reform Party” candidate in 1999/2000. According to this podcast episode, Donald Trump came on the scene in 2015 and has been a dominant political voice ever since. Scott is just spewing Trump-worshipping propaganda masquerading as an alternate perspective and because of the lack of fact-checking Vox is validating and legitimizing his position. Hate to see it, but, Vox, you’re part of the problem…

    Rather “Today’s Lame Copout”
For instance the vaping episode, where the whole setup is giving a friendly platform to pro vaping weak justifications and to have someone come with a ton of unopposed excuses justifying the whole vaping industry while passing all the blame to Chinese manufacturers. One can easily find more serious and mature journalism on the average high school newspaper. Avoid this waste of time.

    Wasting time both-sidesing
A Republican shoots at a Republican and you waste our time saying anything to both-sides it when MTG is calling for open war on Dems in response? And MAGAs want to mow people down? But nothing said on that. What a waste. Stop capitulating to extremists.
