There’s just something about the chemistry between Kevin and Scott… my favorite Podcast when they are together.

The removal of the hundreds of classic pods really makes me sad. They contained some of my favorite podcast moments and some of the hardest times I’ve laughed. Really bums me out that they’re all gone now. Hope someone has them archived.

Without Scott Mosier, it’s just not the same. He should’ve just retired this podcast. It’s not SModcast anymore, and removing all the old episodes is the absolute worst.

Still talking about Clerks

This podcast once made me laugh so hard while walking down the street that an old man bought me a steamed bun and asked if I was alright (this was in China). For that alone it gets 5 stars. I also miss the good old times when we got Scott and Kevin episodes every week. I know times change but I’ll take them when they come. The collected Harry Potter smods are a verifiably better experience than the films themselves.

Used to be great, lack of Moiser over the years and inconsistent episodes made it lose all its luster. I’m personally not a fan anymore and unfollowing.

Just finished listening to the Dec 2021 chat between Kevin Smith & Anthony Michael Hall. It was a great ride and easily could have listened for another 90 minutes, 3 hours, more! AMH has lived a storied life and we get a glimpse into the fantastical. They definitely need to do a project together.

I miss the days of Scott being the yin to Kevin’s yang. Can we get another true SMod?

I’ve listened to smodcast from the very beginning. I love this show. Kevin & Scott has got me through some pretty rough times. I still listen, but it’s just not the same without Mosier. Will mosier ever be back in the same capacity? I love Kevin, but the show just isn’t the same at all without Scott.

You can get Ice Cube but the other guy with his name on the goddam show is awol. Where’s Scott???

Checked in for the first time in 7 years. Wow Kevin has changed a Great deal (Naturally). Glad he’s healthy bug man, he’s so obnoxious and the definition of cringe. I guess Hollywood and LA really got to him. He is so fake

Loved this show with Kev and Scott. At this point though, it’s a dead podcast. You’re lucky if you get one episode every 4-6 months. Even then, it’s just Kevin interviewing someone.

The early days of the podcast were great. The chemistry between Smith and Mosier is undeniable. I literally only stay subscribed to the stream to hear the 1-2 episodes a year that Mosier is on and any Tell Em Steve Dave crossovers The rest mostly meh.

If you like Kevin Smith, this is the podcast for you. Most of it is him getting stoned and talking with a random guest each week. If you don't like Kevin Smith, you won't like it. Plain and simple.

You’ll giggle, ruminate, learn something about comics and life, and feel like you’re maybe sharing a mellow evening with your stoner friend. I look forward to the insight and wisdom of someone who took an unconventional career course in a society that believes you have to follow a strict track or roll on a wheel. I like both the hosts and enjoy all the various types of episodes and how it has evolved. I think a lot of people don’t seem to realize that this is mostly free entertainment both of these people have primary jobs/careers outside of this free service and that change is normal and a life long constant. Be happy Scott Mosier’s career is going so well. If you don’t like it go find something you do and stop wasting your short existence spitting vitriol. Go find something nice and constructive to say and make the world a less negative place.

Great interview with Suplee, but Kevin, you need to speak more clearly into the mic. Too much monotone.

How fortuitous! On May 17th I cashed in $75 worth of iTunes cards that had gotten put away in a drawer over the last year or so. I purchased three bundles (I know how to stretch that electronic dollar!). Predator 4-pack Collection, Shining/Dr. Sleep 2-pack and… The Omen 4-pack Collection! I’ve been making my way through these 10 flicks & two days ago I watched Damien: The Omen II. I hadn’t seen it in over 20 years. SO GOOD! Then what do I stumble upon? Your podcast with Chris Jericho! I’ve been a big fan of Fatman On Batman/ Beyond but hadn’t ventured too far out into the rest of the SModiverse. But this was very awesome! To answer your question in Jericho’s episode 666, “is Omen2 is too deep cuts?” Hell no! The Omen saga is to Horror what the Star Wars Saga is to Sci-Fi & what The Godfather Saga is to Drama! If you love Sci-Fi or Drama flicks then those movies are a must see. If you love horror then The Omen series is equally important to the genre. I even wrote to Sharon & Mindy (Whores Talk Horror podcast) suggesting they give these a listen to! Great episodes! I look forward to the rest of your episodes! Stay healthy. Stay safe! I’ve been a fan of SModcast for a long time, but ever since Scot Mosier has ostensibly left the show and the archive has been put behind a ridiculously priced paywall, it feels a thankless task to be a fan anymore. While sometimes the guests are funny or interesting, usually the people who Kevin grew up with or his family, the random celebrities are pretty boring. The heart of the show was Kevin and Scott, their dynamic kept it funny, light, and interesting. These random guests either have it or they don’t, and the episodes are too far between for them to not all be hits. If the uploading schedule was regular, then I wouldn’t complain, but since there are so few, when an episode is boring or lackluster it really is annoying. I understand podcasting is not as cheap as people think it is, especially if Kevin is employing people, and it does take a lot of time. However, putting all the old episodes behind a paywall on sticher and now the ThatKevinSmithClub just sticks it in to your diehard fans. No one has given him enough money over the years, he needs my five bucks a month as well for episodes that he already published for free. That’s what bothers me the most, it’s not that the show has changed, it’s how it’s changed. If Kevin Smith started a new podcast and started charging for those episodes, or if he were releasing these new episodes behind a paywall I’d at least understand it. The fact that he’s taking episodes that were initially free and released as free and now making them cost money feels cheap and low. It’s an alteration of the understanding we as fans had with him.

Ready for Mosier to come back. Used to be home of the free funny. Now the funny ones are behind a paywall.

I’ve been a fan of Kevin smith and his movies since I was a little boy but when I first started listening to this it was still co hosted by Scotty Mo. I know he’s busy making the grinch 2, but he should take a break and come back to the show for some toke’n and scan bc.

Besides the lack of Mosier to add some balance to the show... I was a huge fan from the beginning and for years. Why are the episodes 2+ hours of Smith getting stoned, coughing and hacking, (at great length), and laughing at things he says, (at great length). I just started listening again. Well, briefly. There are plenty of interesting, intelligent, and insightful podcasts out there that’ll have you laughing your caboose off.

Kevin and Scott were groundbreaking when they started Smodcast over 10+ years ago, and keep going strong.

I have been listening to this podcast for over 10 years and I still am suprised at the content and the conversations from this pod. If there is one thing a person can count on its good pod from Kevin. I know a lot of people have "grown-up" and don't fell like the humor that he has is appropriate for adukts, but if that's how you feel, DON'T LISTEN!! I am almost 40 and still have a sense of humor like a 12 year old and so does Kevin. If you can't laugh at the stupid sutff your brain comes up with the you're too serious!! Thank you for al the great years of entertainment on the pod and the many screens we have now!!!

Except Scott is hardly on the show anymore and all the good old episodes that feature both Kev and Scott are behind a paywall. Used to be my favorite pod but it’s become old and stale.

First podcast I ever listened to. Day 1. These guys have given me so many laughs, I can at least give them as many stars as I can!

Forget the rest, I always find entertainment here. I will say I do not listen to every one, but there is a high amount to what I do listen. I used to listen every hour of the day now I get to listen for an hour a day until I get off work. All in all keep on keeping on this show is still the only one worth listening to and I hope it goes on for another 20 years

I’ve been listening since the beginning, way back to the first ep with the “talk oriental”nonsense. This show was great when it had Scott to temper Kevin’s weepy stoner rants. It’s trash now.

This show really dropped off in recent years. I can’t listen to Kevin absentmindedly stumble through a cloud of weed smoke. Record with a clear head, smoke later. The coughing, the pot thoughts, and the lack of content in recent years is not good for the show.

I used to love this podcast. Why did it move to stitcher? What a cash grab for someone I respected for doing a free show to entertain fans.

I love Kevin Smith, but migrating everything to stitcher just feels like a cash grab. This was my first podcast I ever listened to, so it’s sad what’s become of it.

Over the last 2 years, this show has devolved to just another Kevin smith interview show. Now, Kev is great, but his conversations with Scott were one of a kind. I now find myself bored 15 min into any episode without Scott, which is only one of every 10 episodes.

The interplay between kev and mosier was what made this podcast truly amazing, now scott is essentially an infrequent guest star. also the migration of even the more recent back catalog (it used to go about 300 back) to stitch is pretty weak, especially considering how much ad time there already is in the episodes. I love the oldies that I know and have wanted to dive into the early episodes but can’t justify a membership solely for that purpose.

This show is still great when Scott Mosier makes a rare guest appearance, but it generally has morphed into a Kevin Smith interview show.

I love this podcast.

Definitely not as great as it used to be, and the episodes with Kev and Scott are few and far between, but it still can be as good as it ever was. The back log to this is hours and hours of fun. I reccommend listening to the Christmas episodes like 195.

Show is good and entertaining, however, frustrating with the sound. Sometimes either the talking is too soft or volume isn’t loud enough, so have to constantly adjust volume on my end.

Why did you take down most of your library? The Rogan’s Run episodes I love listening to.
