Ctrl Alt Delete

147

Ctrl Alt Delete subverts the traditional career show. Instead, it's for people who are more interested in shaping their work rather than letting their work shape them. The main focus is work, wellbeing and creativity. Hosted by bestselling author Emma Gannon, she has a gentle line of questioning that starts with work, and ends up wherever the conversations lead. Named Best Business podcast by Vuelio, Webby award nominee and named 50 Best Podcasts by Sunday Times, Ctrl Alt Delete is a gateway into new ideas – with past guests varying far and wide including Elizabeth Gilbert, Reni Eddo-Lodge, Jacqueline Wilson, Lena Dunham, Julia Cameron, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Ava DuVernay, Gillian Anderson and Mrs Hinch.

I hated podcasts UNTIL I listened to Ctrl Alt Delete
Words can’t express how much I needed Emma and her podcast in my working life. Since the pandemic, I have been feeling many things, but overworked and undervalued sums up the vast majority. Ctrl Alt Delete has provided a space for my feelings to be validated, and it has been a powerhouse of encouragement on the most stressful days. Her most recent season has been fantastic, with my favorite episode so far being #360. I am still working through her previous episodes because once a week isn’t enough. Emma, if you’re reading this, thank you for providing a welcoming space for all people feeling down and needing the inspiration to continue moving, growing, and achieving.

    Brilliant!
I listened to my first episode of this podcast with Venetia La Manna as the guest. It was so good! There were great tips like looking at system problems and not focusing on pointing fingers at people. Emma and Venetia were fantastic and added a brightness to my morning. Thank you ladies! I look forward to listening to more episodes of both of your podcasts and the Remember Who Made Them podcast about garment workers. Love and gratitude to you both!

    Career. Art. Self. So good!
Emma’s show and work are so refreshing. She curates the most interesting guests and everything conversation is fascinating. There are a lot of podcasts that are similar to each other, but Emma’s is uniquely itself. I also adore the bent towards writing and writers and art on this show, with some inevitable entrepreneurial insights and advice, too.

I’m a big fan of Emma’s show. Each episode encourages me to look at things from a different perspective or teaches me something new altogether. Emma is conversational, curious, and makes you feel like you’re eavesdropping on a catch up between old friends. One of my faves!

    Title makes no sense
This is pretty awful. No idea what it has to do with tech (Ctrl alt delete). The episode I listened to had two women talking about how to deal with everyone who wanted their attention, while supposedly talking about social media comparison issues.

    Emma Is a Bright Light
Emma Gannon's energy is always high, whether she is fangirling over the week's guest or talking about feminism. Despite being American, I always find her content witty and engaging because I think her bright optimism and cheery ability to critique the status quo are relatable no matter what country you hail from. This podcast is one of my "must listens" every week, so subscribe!
